Finally, Rudy Gobert caught LaMelo Ball's signature finishing move with a Dunk‼️ lbs

Why is Jonathan Kuminga the perfect fit on this Minnesota Timberwolves team.

When Chris Finch actually coaches and makes adjustments, it’s a beautiful sight to see. Instead of LaMelo Ball coming off the screen aggressively looking to dump the ball off to Rudy in traffic—which is basically LaMelo’s Mortal Kombat special finishing move. Finch and LaMelo switches it up, since Rudy can’t catch the ball or play above the rim. Now when Ball comes off a Rudy screen, he either shoots the 3 or aggressively gets downhill, looking to score first or kick out for a wide-open 3. When he gets a screen from Jaden or Jonathan Kuminga, he quickly dumps a pass so they can operate for a wide-open shot or go straight to the basket. Loving the adjustments by the Wolves.
Chris Finch is an offensive mastermind; one of my favorite coaches to study. Finch used a strong side exit screen with a roll and replace a ton in the second half. He did this to counter aggressive helpside/switching against Lamelo in the PnR. If you find an action that is effective, STOP SAVING IT. Go to the well CONSISTENTLY. Beautiful offense as usual from the Wolves 👇🏼

If Jaden McDaniels doesn’t get an NBA All-Team Defense this year, somebody’s hating!

LaMelo passes the ball to Rudy near the basket for a wide-open dunk, but Rudy instead does a short floater and misses. How can we win a championship with Rudy Gobert as our center?

Another pattern we keep seeing : every player the Minnesota Timberwolves bring in is forced to play Rudy Gobert basketball. This has happened repeatedly with KAT, Julius Randle, Kyle Anderson, and now LaMelo and Kuminga. Even fans have been frustrated with Rudy Gobert in timeouts. We keep dumbing down the offense for Gobert’s limitations just for his defense, which hasn’t won a championship. When will Rudy step his game up to stay on the floor with this new team? And when will we stop blaming Rudy and start holding Chris Finch and Tim Connelly accountable?

Anthony Edwards has said multiple times he’s about the team more than chasing individual awards or money he’s going to get anyway. He’d rather take the time to get to 100% than rush back, risk re-injury, and set himself (and the team) back. That’s not a smart risk. It also shows maturity & leadership. That’s a champion’s mindset. Ant’s thinking long-term. Y’all see it different?
Due to the NBA’s 65-game rule, Anthony Edwards is expected to miss out on a 4-year, $304M supermax deal for making All-NBA due to his injury. Damn.

The disrespect y’all keep putting on LaMelo Ball’s name is wild. Like he ain’t been that guy. Y’all really think he can’t lead this Wolves team while Ant rests? Last year he had the Hornets’ offense looking way better whenever he was out there (with Brandon Miller and Miles Bridges), even with limited help and injuries. Now he’s got a way more talented group around him in Minnesota. Y’all really think he won’t eat in this role?

Real talk: Finch and the Timberwolves should reevaluate whether Rudy needs to be out there in close 4th quarters and OT. His defense is still elite, but when the game slows and scoring is needed, a non-factor on offense becomes a problem. Joan went a perfect 6-for-6 for 12 points with 7 boards and 2 blocks in 17 minutes. Let the youngin play more in the clutch. Jaden and LaMelo also gotta be more aggressive hunting their own shots down the stretch. We didn’t bring Melo in to watch him play passive late. And Ant, you got a real point guard now, bro. Stop dribbling into double-teams trying to force the play yourself. Let Melo create and you attack off the catch or the kick. Trust the pieces around you. Defense will still win us a lot of games, but the clutch offense has to evolve if we want to be serious. What y’all think?

LaMelo Ball has to know catching the ball through traffic isn't one of Rudy’s strengths lol.

Lamelo Ball game is crazy unorthodox but effective. never seen a player that get you excited off the pass and shooting, it’s either one or the other.

My Timberwolves pregame plan for tonight’s matchup against the Toronto Raptors. Raptors defense has been elite early and they love to switch and play physical. With Kawhi out, Scottie Barnes becomes their main engine, strong, can create, rebound, and get downhill. Wolves need to attack early in transition, move the ball, and force them into contested shots so Anthony Edwards and LaMelo get clean looks instead of letting them load up. On the other end, Toronto wants to live in the paint with Barnes and Barrett and generate second chances. Jaden McDaniels has to make life hard on one of them and Gobert has to control the glass. Biggest thing for me: Can LaMelo and Ant keep the pace high and the spacing clean before the Raptors get set? Drop your Timberwolves pregame plan⬇️

Love the way Jonathan Kuminga has been approaching his new role on the Minnesota Timberwolves. He’s bought into being the bruiser, guarding the toughest matchups, crashing the glass, making the little plays that don’t show up on the stat sheet, and doing the dirty work without needing the ball in his hands. The energy has been noticeable early. What y’all think of the fit so far?

Y'all realize the Timberwolves shot horribly tonight and our two best players didn’t play their best game, even going below average from the free-throw line, yet we still beat the Orlando Magic by 22 points. I’m loving this new Timberwolves team lbs
