Mount2000 Retreat

"As you go home," said @BishopBurbidge near the close of his homily @Mount2K retreat, "Jesus is asking you to extend yourself in new ways to those who need your help. You will be amazed at how God will miraculously use your kind words, generous deeds, service and goodness."

On faith, @BishopBurbidge told the @Mount2K Mass and retreat attendees, "as you leave, what is it the Lord is asking you you to let go of at this very moment? Let go. Put out into the deep and allow God to take you to greater levels."

“If someone asked you, ‘how is your spiritual life?’ (like the TV commercial) there are times that we may have to say ‘it is OK,’” said @BishopBurbidge @Mount2K. “But we do not want to stay in that place. We do not want to settle for mediocrity.” – at Fairfax, VA

“What keeps us from putting out into the deep?” asked @BishopBurbidge to a crowd of 1K @Mount2K. “Many times it is our sense of unworthiness.” But like Isaiah, Peter and Paul “it is only when they realize God’s love for them they begin to experience a new joy, a new life.” – at Fairfax, VA

“Above all,” @BishopBurbidge told those on retreat @Mount2K, “leave more convinced than ever that God loves you and will never give up on you. He only asks that you never give up on yourself. If we do we will settle for mediocrity.” – at Fairfax, VA

To “put out into the deep,” said @BishopBurbidge in his homily @Mount2K, “requires faith, hope and charity. You must depend on the support of those who love you. You must daily ask Mary our Mother to help you. Above all you must turn back to the Source, who is Christ our Lord.” – at Fairfax, VA
