Iconic movie stills. Rotten Tomatoes disrespecter

The Wrath of Becky (2023) Looking forward to the 3rd film. With Neil Patrick Harris as the main villain, it should be a hilariously bloody good time. There's something so satisfying about watching assholes die much deserved deaths. 😉

Scanners (1981) My introduction into the mind of David Cronenberg. Michael Ironside's iconic line lives rent-free in my head: "We're gonna do this the scanner way. I'm gonna suck your brain dry."

East of Eden (1955) James Dean made 3 career-defining movies between April 1954 and September 1955. It's a shame he only lived long enough to see this one on the big screen. At the time of his death, he was signed to star in two upcoming films: Somebody Up There Likes Me (1956) and The Left Handed Gun (1958). (Both films ended up going to Paul Newman.)

Late Night with the Devil (2023) David Dastmalchian is exceptional as the late-night talk show host desperately trying to rescue his show's plummeting ratings. And Ingrid Torelli is equally good as the young girl who claims to be possessed by a demon. The production design is spot-on in its recreation of late-night 70's TV. Some genuinely scary moments in this one. Well worth a look.

Jackie Brown (1997) "Quentin called me just before he went into production and said, ‘I’ve been afraid to call you for the last year’. And I said, ‘Why? Because you changed the title and you cast a black woman in the lead?’ And he said, ‘Yeah’. And I said, ‘Well, you’re the film-maker, go ahead.'” --Elmore Leonard

Alice, Sweet Alice (1976) Paula Sheppard is still one of the creepiest children in horror. With that painted mask and that bright yellow raincoat... (She was 19 when she played 12 year old Alice.)

Night of the Demons (2009) Always a shame to see such beautiful women turn into such hideous creatures. 😞

The Changeling (1980) The bouncing ball and the child's empty wheelchair are still iconic moments of pure creepiness.

Last Man Standing (1996) Sure, it's just Yojimbo in Hollywood clothing... But it's also Walter Hill. And that always means style.

Ginger Snaps (2000) It took the werewolf genre and flipped it on its head. No "good man" plagued by a terrible curse. No "back to normal" at sunrise. Ginger doesn't fight her transformation. She loves it.
