Shoaholoza Meyl is not a reliable train service. City to City has always been operational just with fleet problems even with Shosholoza Meyl being operational. These are just new buses. Nothing has changed. Private operators can’t continue profiting on the long distance routes when the tax payers have a bus company they can use.

HMS1 & SMS1 @TheGautrain midi buses added to list of other routes.
Whatever the constitution suggests around Gautrain bus routes they all operating below capacity due to route structure. SCS1, SMS1, M1, M2 & HMS1 could all be better served operating to Blue Hills.

@nevi_me here, waiting with a commuter for a bus going to UJ. We've been waiting for 40 minutes, and it's quite chilly.
I used to wait like this 17 years ago, it's sad that not much has changed.
Our new app, Socioloza, allows you to share your trip with other computers, so they know what time the bus is arriving.

Update: Route deviation has been cancelled. Buses will operate as per normal.

Train services between Midrand and Hatfield stations have seen suspended due to the neutral section being affected by Eskom lines. A bus service will operate between Midrand and Hatfield.
The Airport service is not affected.

When you get on the train/bus, you can check in on a trip, and start sharing live arrival updates with commuters waiting for the bus/train.
This helps them know how long to wait.
The app is available for Android, with Apple and Huawei coming in a few weeks.
