It's a grey Tuesday morning here in Middle Earth. But that's OK, the garden can use the rain. Overnight gale force winds didn't help, but no real damage to our corner of here. I hope you incorrigable lot are having a fantastic time where you are. Much love.

Goodnight, you wonderful lot. Dusk threw up some colour, but not as much as I thought. Left photo facing away from the sunset and the yellow light cast from it, but the photo doesn't do it justice. Right is just before sunset, in the direction of the sun. See you all tomorrow

Random lovel day in the garden/back yard shots. Planters, berry patches, trees, and the right half of that section of lawn mowed with the new mower. The other half of the lawn was done by a pro garden guy 5 days ago. This mower is excellent and so powerful.

OK, for the folks interested in the lamb, and apologies to those who don't do meats, this is how we get out and cut it up ready to season it.

Good morning punters and chances. It's Monday here in the dominions, and a holiday to boot. Commiserations to those falling back this weekend, it's the way the world turns. Beautiful sky at 6am, so had to hobble out and try to get photos for you. Have a beautiful day, all of you!

Finally got out into the garden today. Heel a little tested, but fine, as I had my safety moonboot on. Cleared all the winter over weeds. Tomorrow, compost on, dug in, ground prepped. Then planting. Satisfying work, especially after being immobile.

Yesterday's lunch. Two lamb ribs, which are quite large. Not supermarket, but from our organic lamb guy, frozen, and used when ready. Air fryer, pre-heated 210C (flat out for my Ninja) for around 18 minutes, or until the delicious fat renders and the skin is crispy.

Unboxing the new mower. That's a big battery! Dual voltage, so it can power tools from their 18 volt range and the more serious 54 volt range.

I was just thinking that my mother in law has come around every Saturday for the last 15 years. I think we'll commemorate that by letting her in this time..

I'm not generally a Tom Jones fan, but an 85 year old Tom sings Leonard Cohen's Tower of Song, and does a great job. Brings tears to my eyes on what's turned out to be a melancholic day. Beautiful. youtube.com/watch?v=TMz0WcXd…

Don’t mention your age… just name a TV show you watched as a child. Greenacres.

New life in the garden, and some almost ready for the garden. Beautiful day, and after the all clear from my surgeon, just one more week in the boot. But I can move around better, pain free.

The wine bottles you can see are for water and fertiliser and plug into ceramic, hollow 'pegs' that slowly release water into the soil in the pepper and strawberry patches. We will add more to the various planters we have around the place as it works very well..

Just heard a long time neighbour of my late parents, and all round good guy, died this morning. He was a devout Christian, played guitar and and sang beautifully at both my parents funerals, and taught me some good chords and life lessons. Go easy into the light Richard...

Just a heads up, I got a dm from this guy, or whoever took over his account, saying he'd wrongly reported me to X and to contact a specific 'person'. Scripted to perfection. If you follow this user, don't respond to dms, report, block. If you know him, let him know. @Dombeaud22
