Request: If you see or hear MCFC current / former employees (especially players and managers) giving pro-City views on the "115" case, pls tweet me examples / links as I research whether they have paid deals with City to do so, for example as paid ambassadors for the club. Thanks

A new National Care Service. Greater public control of water, energy, and housing. A National Commission on Electoral Reform. Strengthening our relationship with Europe. Reforming the education and welfare system.
Today I set out a different path for Britain.
You may disagree with some or all of what I have said today. But I have given you what you often say is missing from politics.
Honesty, ideas and a clear direction for the country we all love.
If you agree with enough of what I have said, get behind this plan. And get behind each other.
It's time to draw a line.
To move beyond a decade of drift and division.
To bring a spirit of unity and positivity back to our country.
To unlock the working-class aspiration that is still there in every postcode.
To hope again.

Just watched the speech in full. One of the best, and most powerfully delivered, by a British politician in a very long time. If he can deliver on his passion and promises, Burnham could be a transformative Prime Minister. But it’s a big ‘if’ …

Happy belated Birthday to the Murricane. The greatest comedy leading man of our time.
So many adventures over the years. One night shooting GB2, we appropriated two fully equipped police motorcycles from the movie’s motor pool and spent an hour chasing each other around a closed Central Park with full lights and sirens. No consequences. After all, we were Ghostbusters.

Oh my god... this is amazing, I've never been this happy listening to music from the 90s to 2026. He's gotten old, his hair's grown long, and so am I... Does anyone know who this is?

So.... £2,485 on glasses for a PM was "sleaze rotting our politics to the core" but £72,000,000 in a single day for Nigel Farage is celebrated as hitting "the jackpot" and a "war chest..."
Whatever is happening here is happening in plain sight. You decide!

Nikt
nie chce wojny,
ani w Niemczech,
ani w Rosji,
Anglii czy Ameryce.
To jasne.
Ale ostatecznie decyzje podejmują przywódcy.
I przekonanie społeczeństwa,
by poszło za nimi,
by społeczeństwo zrobiło to,
czego się od niego oczekuje.
Wystarczy
wmówić im, że są zagrożeni,
a tych,
którzy wzywają do pokoju,
oskarżyć o brak patriotyzmu i działanie na szkodę kraju.
Ten
mechanizm działa zawsze”.
(18 kwietnia 1946 r., fragment rozmowy przytoczonej w książce *„Dziennik norymberski”*)
Brzmi znajomo?

Record donation to Reform.
Crypto-billionaires. Criminals. People who think they can buy and sell British politics.
That’s who Reform stand for.
That’s who they’ve always stood for.

🚨 WATCH: This is such a breath of fresh air.
Badenoch: cut welfare to pay for defence.
@andyburnham : yes, bring the welfare bill down, by tackling WHY it is so high.
Build council homes instead of paying billions in housing benefit to cover expensive rents. Help young people into education and work instead of abandoning them.
Fix the problem, don’t punish the people suffering from it.
This is what “problem-solving not point-scoring” actually looks like.

So Reform’s polling about union members that was splashed across front pages was knowingly funded by a dodgy donation?
Probably unlawful. Definitely unethical.

Photographs of the greenhouses and laboratories at Rajsko are sometimes used in Holocaust-denial narratives to suggest that Auschwitz offered prisoners comfortable living conditions. This completely removes those images from their historical context.

Rajsko was a small agricultural subcamp located about 2.5 kilometers from the main camp. From June 1943, several hundred women prisoners were housed there and worked mainly in two areas: horticulture and experimental plant research.
The greenhouses were not producing food for the general prisoner population. Vegetables, fruit and flowers were intended for the SS, their families and civilian workers, who could also purchase them at a sales point there. Another group of prisoners worked at an experimental station cultivating kok-saghyz, a rubber-producing plant. The aim was to develop a source of natural rubber useful to the German war economy.
Many women assigned to this work were highly educated specialists in biology, chemistry or agronomy. Because the experiments required cleanliness, precision and skilled labor, conditions at Rajsko were considerably better than in Birkenau. Prisoners there had better opportunities for hygiene and clean clothing and were less exposed to some forms of everyday camp brutality.
That relative privilege is an important part of the history and should not be concealed. But neither should it be transformed into evidence about Auschwitz as a whole. Rajsko involved only a few hundred prisoners performing specialized work for the SS and German economic interests. At the same time, only a few kilometers away, prisoners in Birkenau faced starvation, disease, forced labor and selections, while Jews arriving in mass transports were being murdered in the gas chambers.

Elon Musk on why Liverpool is the only club in the world which displays the Emoji once you put the HASHTAG!(JOKE😅)
🗣️🗣️"To be honest am not much into football, but my grandmother is a loyal Liverpool fan, last week I visited her place, and she joked and asked me "Are you going to buy Liverpool?" I laughed and told her no!
So, this week I instructed the x engineers to put a Liver bird crest on Liverpool hashtag to show my love for her!"
