What’s going to happen to open source? A prediction: Dependencies are over. The same Brotli vulnerability impacted .NET, Node, Bun, Envoy and more. Dependencies are too big of a target. When rewriting a dependency is one prompt away, why take the risk?

You might hype on @solid_js, but money brings the knowledge of React.
So I'm officially open to new job opportunities. Obviously I'd love to work in @solid_js but @reactjs and specifically @tan_stack Start/Router would be good as well

Something tells me this guy would cut salaries in half if it was possible. But he keeps the bar high. So AI does the work for me, and you can't do anything, you only pay and get the job done.
had someone opt out of our interview process because they couldn't use AI for every part of the assess all i can say to that is: if that is your mindset, you're going to be unemployed in the future we dont pay high salaries in this industry for people to prompt, we pay for domain expertise

Been on this hill for a decade. Everyone was against. Now the web is on my side. Next step is "you don't need hover on interactive elements. Just add proper cursor and call it a day"

That's why you forcibly migrated OpenClaw users from Pi to Codex Harness?
Another reason why you wanna use your own harness and not one where companies change what you can or can’t do at will.

As I've always said, Remix is just a tool for very specific Shopify needs. So let's go on.
Replying to @Danetag
We took a big leap: Bye bye React, and hello Remix 3! Working with the Remix team has been a blast, and this new version delivers exactly what we need: a more browser-native experience with less re-renders, hydration, javascript, and no implicit side effects. remix.run/

Bro just said Type inference = orm 🤦 Why do people keep listening to him?
Stuff like this might finally kill ORMs, I’m incredibly hyped

Remember these clowns were telling us that "nobody wants jpeg xl"?
Chrome 155 adds support for JPEG XL (.jxl) → goo.gle/4yYpSjW Expect 30-50% smaller file sizes than traditional JPEGs, native HDR, progressive rendering, and lossless JPEG transcoding. Under the hood, Chrome uses jxl-rs, a pure Rust decoder built for maximum memory safety and performance.

> ship a lib > mit license > Someone else took it for his own project, modified it, shipped better alternative > Insult, mock him What's wrong with you?
"It was too ambitious to build a linter and formatter so I told Claude to copy VoidZero" Congratulations!

That's why I still use plans. It doesn't matter how good a model is, when it comes to peer review, only the plan must keep the DoD.
Verification is one of the most important things for getting great results out of your agent. Clearly define "done" before code review starts. A reviewer, human or agent, asked to find bugs without this may still find something that could be improved. Give Claude checks it can run (bash commands, tests, clicking through the app in a browser) and have it pass that too before it says it's finished. When nothing blocks merge and ship.

> Near astra intelligence In fact dumber than 5.6 Clowns 🤡🤡🤡
Ultrafast is rolling out today for GPT-6.1 Sol in the API, Codex, and ChatGPT Work. Near-Astra intelligence at up to 8x faster speeds than Sol Standard, so you can build as fast as the ideas come.

I've been writing TypeScript for a decade, never had issues he's talking about. So bro just criticize TypeScript for imaginary problems.
I think the models could design something better than Typescript TS's type system is unsound, look at how easy it is to have a `string[]` actually contain `number`! Type theory is a very formally verifiable domain, I would expect a model to formally verify the type system

Not for the code For the results
“If I use an agent to generate code, I’m still responsible for the code I commit.” True. “I don’t read all the code the agent generates.” Also true. So, am I responsible or not?

Both issues are solvable
Compile times and disk space. It was a good run though.

It's 2026 and folks keep microbenchmarking. Just a simple q for @mjackson : In the AI era, why would I choose remix over leptos?
Right. I mentioned in the talk how the React version of that button takes twice as long as the Remix version in scripting time on the main thread. AFAICT the main diff was mostly from avoiding all the React machinery. It’s mere milliseconds. But it’s not nothing.
