Third year of getting into photography, so this is my annual post.
These are some of my favourite shots that I’ve taken over the last year. I captured them in Japan, Nigeria and Turkey.
Focusing on playing around with composition and colours.

Government of Ghana’s statement on the tragic killing of Javits Frimpong in the Bronx, New York.
I have spoken to the father of Javits, Mr. Thomas Frimpong and directly conveyed the condolences of the Government and people of Ghana.
On my instructions, officials of our Permanent Mission in New York have visited the family and coordinating with local authorities.
The Foreign Ministry will work tirelessly with US authorities to ensure justice is secured.
The family of Javits and his loved ones remain in our thoughts and prayers. May God grant his lovely soul a peaceful repose.
For God and Country 🇬🇭 🙏🏾

This is why I said it’s incredibly undermining to silence testimonies of anti-African xenophobia and reduce it to “diaspora wars”. As a community we need to address afrophobia. We can recognise it pedals anti-blackness globally but we refuse to admit that it’s propagated in-house
Can’t get the murder of Javits Frimpong out of my mind.
No reason to hate him. Why are you bullying someone because they’re African? How does it escalate to you murdering him with a gun? What exactly do you gain?
A senseless death in every sense of the word.
This is the official gofundme for anyone who would like to donate. May he rest in peace and return home in peace.

so a young Ghanaian boy was bullied in the Bronx and he was eventually shot and killed. literally was such a quiet kid and he came to America less than a year ago. His dad has been in America for the past 26 years. xenophobia is genuinely despicable. I’m sick to my stomach.
This feels similar to the Damilola Taylor murder. Extremely sad.

The issue here is that Zeze Mills tends to be quite polarising in her general views. So when someone who is polarising says something that makes sense - like this - people will try to find an angle to discredit it.
It’s a good level of self-awareness to be open about not wanting the responsibility of raising a child. Because if you pressure someone with this view into having a child - and then they don’t live up to the expectations in terms of responsibility - they’ll then get criticised even harder.
I absolutely love being a Dad more than anything else in the world and would go to the ends of the earth and back for my family - but I also appreciate that not everyone desires that responsibility.
And that’s actually okay 👍🏿

This man campaigned when "Grab them by the pussy" came to light
in 2016 & the scales didn't fall then.
Settled several sexual assault lawsuits over the first term; still didn't fall.
Was mentioned 38,000 times in the Epstein emails, mbanu, still standing. Now you are talking about kings and inexcusable?
Yo😂😂😂
Sorry for the late reply. Please note my husband protected me and our children from running afoul of immigration law by filing his paperwork appropriately. He was able to make time to do so by resisting the urge to *repeatedly* and spinelessly attack women via social media who have done nothing to him.
Handle your affairs at home before you concern yourself with the households of others. 🙏🇬🇭

The headline of this news story is inaccurate and misleading. WHO has not declared Nigeria Ebola‑free. Nigeria currently has no confirmed case of Ebola following the medical evacuation of the index patient to Switzerland. Health officials are closely monitoring 52 contacts who may have been exposed.
Under the International Health Regulations, a country can only be declared Ebola‑free after a 42‑day countdown following the last confirmed case testing negative twice for the virus or, in this situation, after the evacuation of the confirmed case. This period is then followed by heightened surveillance.
WHO requests that this headline be retracted and corrected. It is an inaccurate interpretation of the X post made by the WHO Regional Director for Africa.
