A student in one of our photography classes captured this image of our studio at school and I’m at a loss for words. So lucky to work where I do and astonished at the artistic eye of our students. @GainesvilleHS is an amazing place and I’m lucky to be there.
I care more about them knowing and being able to do something than I do about when they know or can do the something. #edupriorities
So much fun having a class come to the studio to talk about all the #digcit things! Kids are such willing participants when given a topic and an opportunity to participate. Also, the use of @padlet makes facilitating a conversation sooooo easy. #InceptionPadlet #techforedsake

It's a new semester so I have a new set of students, which means constantly explaining that I don't take off points for late work. They don't seem to believe me. This afternoon a student looked at me and said, "I guess I'm just used to being punished for turning in work late" 😭

My conversations with students throughout the semester more or less nullify this, because students don't see the process as transactional. Also, I'm an adult and they're not. Also, after working 30+ years in the "real world" I know that most deadlines are arbitrary and negotiable
