🚨Twenty months ago I performed @WestHertsNHS's first robotic-assisted surgery with #Versius, and our multi-speciality RAS programme has exceeded 340 cases with our two @CMRSurgical robotic systems. 🤖 Today we welcomed @IntuitiveSurg to join our RAS programme. Our #DaVinciXi has been delivered and training on our third robotic system is underway. 🦾 Our multi-platform RAS programme will bring the benefits of RAS to even more patients and our training console will allow us to offer multi-platform training for our trainees soon. @WestHertsNHS is leading by example by delivering RAS and RAS training safely and swiftly. The Wellington Hospital, made history today as the first private hospital in the UK to offer the Versius Robotic Surgical System to patients.
A very big thank you to the entire theatre team, surgeons, and our partners at CMR Surgical for a successful surgery.

What a busy year it has been for our RAS teams @WestHertsNHS. 🤖 We have trained 14 consultants in multiple specialties, high volume RAS lists (@MrOMoussa), reached milestones of 100, 200 and next week 300 cases, training the trainees 🦾🦾🦾, presented our experience @ACPGBI, podcast with @BlondelLucien, implemented our colorectal virtual hospital @VHWestherts, numerous case observations from the UK, South Africa, Sweden, France, Germany and Poland.
