Our Flamingos have made history! I warmly congratulate Nigeria’s U-17 women’s team on their 2–1 victory over Japan to claim our first FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup title. Captain Harmony Chidi spoke of a dream that would make her teammates and country proud. Tonight, that dream belongs to every Nigerian. I salute her, her teammates, Coach Akeem Busari, and the entire technical and support staff for this unforgettable achievement. These young women remind us of what Nigerian talent can achieve when it is nurtured and given the opportunity to flourish. May their triumph inspire more girls to pursue their dreams with confidence and courage. Thank you, Flamingos, for giving our nation this moment of joy and unity. We are immensely proud of you. -AA

This is my candidate.🇳🇬
Alhamdulillah. I was honoured to observe Juma’at prayers at the Sultan Muhammadu Macchido Mosque in Sokoto with our party leaders, members of our entourage, and the good people of Sokoto State. I prayed for peace, unity, and security across Nigeria; for prosperity and a better life for every Nigerian; and for the success of our mission to make Nigeria affordable again. May Almighty Allah accept our prayers, strengthen our unity as one people, and grant our beloved nation the wisdom and courage to overcome every challenge before her. Amin. -AA

JUST IN: ADC Appeals Court Ruling, Warns INEC Against Taking Further Action Pending Appeal The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has filed an appeal challenging the judgment delivered by the Federal High Court in Abuja on November 5, 2026, over the party's leadership dispute involving Hon. Nafiu Bala Gombe. The party has also filed an application seeking a stay of execution of the judgment pending the hearing and determination of its appeal by the Court of Appeal. In a statement issued on Friday, November 6, 2026, by Phrank Shaibu, Director of Media and Strategic Communications of the ADC Presidential Campaign Council, the party disclosed that it had formally notified the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of the appeal and its application for a stay of execution. ADC urged INEC to exercise caution and refrain from taking any action that could affect the matter currently before the Court of Appeal, noting that the court has yet to determine its application for a stay of execution. The party further called on INEC to respect the judicial process and allow the Court of Appeal to hear and determine the matter without taking steps that could prejudice the proceedings. According to the statement, ADC said it would explore all legal avenues available to protect its rights, while urging its members and supporters to remain calm, confident and steadfast. The party also maintained that the court judgment would not mark the end of its political journey, assuring Nigerians that it would continue its political activities and preparations for the 2027 general elections despite the ongoing legal challenges. ADC reaffirmed its commitment to communicating its political agenda to Nigerians, particularly its proposed policies aimed at reducing the cost of living and improving the welfare of citizens. The party concluded by expressing confidence in the judicial process and its commitment to pursuing justice through lawful means to protect its rights and Nigerians' democratic right to choose their preferred leaders.

The APC made the biggest mistake by the Justice Lifu court move. All they have done is added more fuel to the fire. Since the court case, I have been getting calls from people who have never voted in their lives, saying that they will vote this time. Some who werent voting AA or sitting on the fence even told me that they now know that the govt is afraid of ADC so they will vote ADC to remove this evil govt. Unfortunately for APC, what God has written will happen and there is nothing they can do about it.

IN 1993, I LAID ABTI’S FOUNDATION; TINUBU FORFEITED $460,000 IN THE U.S. — ATIKU Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has condemned President Bola Tinubu’s latest attack on his investment in education, describing it as a desperate attempt to distract Nigerians from the failure of his administration. In a statement issued by the Director of Strategic Communication, Phrank Shaibu, Atiku said: “Again, Bola Tinubu has told Nigerians why they should not allow him to continue as president after his first tenure. He also chose to question my investment in education and ask how I built an educational institution while serving as Vice President. “The answer is simple: my investment in education predates my time in public service. In 1993, while a U.S. court ordered the forfeiture of funds in an account in your name, describing them as proceeds of narcotics trafficking or funds involved in unlawful financial transactions, I was laying the foundation for ABTI Academy. That Academy has since grown into the American University of Nigeria. “That moment captures the difference between us. My history is traceable. I can show Nigerians how I built my name, achieved success in business and entered public leadership. Your own history remains clumsy and foggy. You cannot erase it by attacking my record in education. “A president who has plunged the country into a crushing cost-of-living crisis has no business asking Nigerians for another mandate. The real conversation about the 2027 election is how to repair the damage your government has done. “You say Nigeria cannot return to subsidy and must move forward. But you cannot even tell Nigerians where you are taking them. Forward into deeper poverty, mounting debt, insecurity and mass unemployment? “Since your inauguration in 2023, your leadership has become synonymous with hardship, pain and despair. Your record is a working example of how a country should not be led. You have created poverty on an industrial scale, pushing more than 79 million Nigerians into extreme poverty. “Your campaign’s Director-General says hungry Nigerians are simply lazy. He delivered that statement in grammar so badly constructed it could wake the dead. This government does not even believe Nigerians are hungry. How can you solve a problem you refuse to acknowledge?

“You created poverty, then insult the people suffering from it. You attack my Affordable Life campaign, but the people you are really attacking are the millions of Nigerians desperate for relief from your failed leadership. “Bola, Nigerians have tested your leadership. The verdict is clear: you are a disaster. In Yoruba culture, I am told, a calabash of pepper represents hostile leadership, while a calabash of honey represents hospitable leadership. Yours is a calabash of pepper. “You say Nigeria will never return to subsidised petrol prices. You are wrong. By the grace of the Almighty and with the mandate of the Nigerian people, I will restore a transparent, production-based subsidy tied to the local refining of fuel. Nigerians will benefit directly through lower energy costs, including the prices of petrol and diesel. “My administration will make deliberate investments in social welfare and end the opaque system your government uses to divert money meant for economically vulnerable Nigerians. “You attack my campaign because you know what it represents: an alternative to the hardship you have imposed on the people. You want me off the ballot at all costs, but the will of the Nigerian people will prevail. I will be on that ballot, and I will beat you decisively. “After three and a half years in office, you have no achievements to campaign on. Your own record of failure is the strongest campaign against you. My Affordable Life campaign will not be silenced by your insults or your threats. I will lead Nigeria back to prosperity, growth and development.” Signed: Phrank Shaibu Director Strategic Communication, African Democratic Congress, Presidential Campaign Council. 7th November, 2026. @phrankangel @olusolasanni @royaltyuso @oluleasu

In case you missed this ...... RE: FHC/ABJ/CS/1819/2025 - Nafiu Bala Gombe Vs ADC & Ors Subject: GROUNDS WHY THE JUDGMENT PURPORTEDLY NULLIFYING SEN. DAVID MARK LEADERSHIP AND ATIKU ABUBAKAR'S CANDIDACY IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL, VOID AB INITIO AND LIABLE TO BE SET ASIDE ON APPEAL 1. LACK OF JURISDICTION - IT IS A NON-JUSTICIABLE INTERNAL PARTY AFFAIR This is settled law in Nigeria up to the Supreme Court. In Eyitayo Jegede v. INEC (2021) 14 NWLR PT. 1790 and APC v. Marafa (2019), and PDP v. Saka Lawal, the Supreme Court held that leadership, membership, and management of a political party is the exclusive internal affair of the party. No court has jurisdiction to determine who should be Chairman or Secretary of a party. Nafiu Bala Gombe's claim is a leadership tussle arising from resignation of Ralph Nwosu. The Federal High Court cannot foist a Chairman on a political party. The ADC Constitution Article 14 and Article 15 clearly provides for NEC to constitute a Caretaker Committee where a vacancy occurs. That was what was done. The court cannot re-write the ADC Constitution for the party. 2. MISAPPLICATION OF THE ADC CONSTITUTION The plaintiff relies on automatic succession as Deputy National Chairman. That provision is nullified by the fact that: a) The entire NWC led by Ralph Nwosu resigned en bloc, not just the Chairman. There was no NWC left for a Deputy Chairman to preside over. b) The ADC Constitution Article 18 (4) empowers the National Executive Committee [NEC] to dissolve the NWC and appoint a Caretaker Committee in an emergency. c) The meeting that appointed Sen. David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola was duly convened by the BOT and NEC, the highest organs of the party, with over 90% attendance. You cannot inherit what no longer exists. 3. CANDIDACY OF ATIKU ABUBAKAR IS PROTECTED BY LAW AND CANNOT BE NULLIFIED BY PROXY Even if - without conceding - there was an issue with the Caretaker Committee, Atiku's nomination is saved by three layers of law: a) Section 84 of the Electoral Act 2022:* Atiku emerged through a duly monitored Presidential Primary by INEC, with delegates, as required by law. INEC, the 2nd Defendant in that suit, monitored and published his name. A leadership dispute does not vitiate a primary conducted under Section 84. b) The Principle in Eyitayo Jegede: The Supreme Court held that the irregularity of a party Exco does not invalidate the candidacy produced by the party. The candidate is not a party to the Exco dispute. c) INEC Publication is Prima Facie Validity: INEC has already published Atiku Abubakar as the ADC Presidential Candidate for the Jan 16, 2027 election after verifying compliance with Sections 82-84 of the Electoral Act. Only the Federal High Court in pre-election matters under Section 285 (14) of the Constitution, initiated by an aspirant who participated in the primary, can challenge a candidacy. Nafiu Bala Gombe was NOT an aspirant. He has no locus. 4. FATAL DEFECT - NON-JOINDER AND LOCUS STANDI Nafiu Bala Gombe lacks locus. He resigned/ceased to be a member of the NWC before this suit. You cannot challenge a party you are no longer an officer of for personal aggrandizement. More importantly, Atiku Abubakar, whose candidacy is directly affected, was NOT joined as a party in FHC/ABJ/CS/1819/2025. You cannot nullify a person's nomination without hearing him. This violates Section 36 of the 1999 Constitution (Fair Hearing) and renders the entire judgment null and void. 5. FORUM SHOPPING AND ABUSE OF COURT PROCESS There are at least 3 subsisting judgments of courts of coordinate jurisdiction affirming the David Mark leadership. The principle of stare decisis, and order of court means Lifu J. cannot sit on appeal over his learned brothers. The proper action is to go to the Court of Appeal, not to procure a conflicting judgment. This judgment is a textbook case of judicial overreach into internal party democracy. It will not survive 48 hours at the Court of Appeal. It is:
