The bus runs every day, if you miss today's bus, don't give up, just come out every day, and one day you might get a chance to board another bus.

Iwu Ezigbo ajo mmadu, what do you mean by “you casually invited him to your wedding and he enthusiastically accepted”.
I think it’s important to clarify a few things, because this goes beyond the exchanges people are seeing here. One thing I absolutely detest is people who cannot tolerate the very treatment they routinely dish out to others. If you feel comfortable making sweeping judgments about people’s lives, choices, and motivations, you should be equally prepared to have your own views and conduct scrutinized. For context, I met Afam here on Twitter. We didn’t know each other personally. I casually invited him to my wedding, he enthusiastically accepted, and I genuinely appreciated his presence. However, attending my wedding does not mean we suddenly became close friends, nor does it create an obligation for our opinions to align. We’ve had serious disagreements outside this particular exchange, and I’ve long been aware that our political perspectives and values differ significantly. That, in itself, has never been my problem. What I find particularly disturbing is the habit of talking down to fellow Nigerians and reducing their political preferences to nothing more than a desperate quest for American visas. This is especially ironic coming from someone who has personally navigated the American immigration system and pursued opportunities to establish himself here. There is absolutely nothing wrong with seeking better opportunities abroad. What I object to is the double standard of treating one’s own immigration journey as legitimate while ridiculing others for supposedly wanting the same thing. My criticism is not about his right to hold different political opinions. It is about the condescension, sweeping generalizations, and apparent inability to accept the kind of scrutiny he freely directs at others. And for those attempting to turn a political disagreement into some story of personal betrayal, let me be clear: I appreciated his attendance at my wedding, but gratitude for a social gesture does not translate into lifelong political loyalty or immunity from criticism. We should be able to disagree politically without inventing motives for others or expecting personal associations to silence legitimate criticism. This might well be the last time I address this matter or engage in any further back and forth about it. I’ve made my position clear, and I have no interest in endlessly explaining the same point to people determined to misunderstand it.

Real definition of a family ❤️
My husband is the least financially successful among his siblings, but what his family did for us recently brought us to tears. He used to work with one of the banks in Nigeria, but lost his job when the bank's operating licence was revoked after it failed to meet the Central Bank's regulatory requirements. Things became really difficult for us after that. I had to take up the full financial responsibility of the family, but that wasn't even the issue. My husband gradually became the person everyone in his family called whenever something needed to be done. His younger brother is a medical doctor, his elder brother lives abroad with his family, and his sisters are all married and doing well. When his sisters got married, he was the one who cleaned the family compound. Everyone said he was the only one available. Even when my sister got married, he helped set up the canopies. He told me it was the only way he could contribute since he couldn't support us financially. When Papa fell sick, everyone agreed that my husband should take care of him. As usual, he was the only one available. He did it happily, always praying that God would make a way for him someday. Earlier this year, Papa passed away. He was buried according to tradition in August 2026. Then came the day his Will was read. What happened that day is something I will never forget.

Lmao 😂. @Uwkuhc and @Jamessucre2 hope you guys got your own empowerment
ENUGU GOVERNMENT TO EMPOWER 520 VULNERABLE PERSONS ACROSS 260 WARDS The Enugu State Government is set to extend its poverty alleviation and social inclusion drive to 520 vulnerable residents across the state's 260 wards, reinforcing its commitment to improving livelihoods and ensuring that the benefits of governance reach the most vulnerable segments of society. The initiative, being facilitated by the Ministry of Human Development and Poverty Eradication, will see two beneficiaries selected from each ward, ensuring equitable distribution and grassroots reach across the state. The intervention underscores the Mbah administration's commitment to inclusive development, targeted social protection and economic empowerment, particularly for vulnerable residents who need support to improve their living conditions and achieve greater economic stability. Through initiatives such as this, the government continues to strengthen its people-centred development agenda, ensuring that no community or vulnerable group is left behind. #PeterMbah #EnuguRising #TomorrowIsHere

You experience this a lot in the east tho.
I met kids at the Onitsha airport this morning that actually greeted me good morning. I did not know people still train their kids to greet every elderly person they see. Was great to experience.

Let me go and watch Ozark again.
I have a question. Please feel free to attack me. OGB wasn't a successful content creator. He wasn't a successful entertainer, doesn't act movies, doesn't sing songs. Somehow, he has opened a highend store, drives a multimillion car with multiple houses. How please?

Which of our soup bikonu? Do you know how rich Igbo foods are?
If we really want to talk about soups that was inspired by poverty in Nigeria then Igbo soups tops the list. Majority of their soups were discovered during the war due to extreme starvation and poverty. They were literally eating anything that grows.

There is an unwritten rule to life that most people never get told. After every long stretch of hardship and uncertainty, a period comes where you make quantum leaps across multiple areas of your life at once. It happens all at once, and it happens because of everything you survived before it. The only requirement on your end is simple. Do not give up on yourself before that period arrives.
