The average teacher works 48.7 hours per week. Our teachers are expected to do overtime without pay.
It is time for the government to #PayUp to #SaveOurShools.
Best thing I’ve learnt this half term… get into the staff room for lunch, even if it’s only 10 minutes. It’s made such a difference to my well-being ⭐️

As a school, we regularly select a pupil who needs ‘10% kinder’ from all staff - everyone makes the extra effort to be positive and warm for a young person having a hard time - we have really embraced this as a team, and it can make a huge difference for a child in a tough week.

A little reminder that you can do whatever the hell you want to do with this year ✨✨✨ – at Sheffield, England
We discussed responsibilities and our needs in PSHE this morning. We now have a class plant that will be looked after by the children! Hopefully it will stay alive 🤣🤪 #PSHE
We searched around our classroom for all the missing toys! We then wrote a letter back to Bunting the toy cat, to let him know the toys are very sorry for running away 🙈🙊

🤍🌙✨ being a student teacher has its up’s and downs but we all need to remember that it’s just learning, we aren’t going to all be AMAZING at it to start with! And, not everyday will be easy or as smooth💫

Huge honour / privilege / pleasure to lead another Maths session with @ilscitt They were already so well-versed in the principles of lesson design even before the session had started - a testament to the strength of the course. I was magpieing ideas from them for my own setting!

Please remember that all those interactions you have with your students outside of the lesson really matter. The smiles… the eye contact… the jokes, the fist bumps… and the silliness…they’re all important. They remind kids that they matter. Those moments can mean the world.
A lovely surprise to have delivered on a miserable Monday morning! Thankyou @FlyingHighTrust @ILSCITT @AimeeBarton19
