ALT a brown park bench with the words “Smash Patriarchy” in white paint. In the background is a blue sky, green trees, and a low brick wall. In the top left corner, the words “Peitho Volume 26.1 Fall 2023” in all caps in a dark orange font.

Hey guys I run a program that offers safe and stable housing to young mothers in the DMV. We offer a fully furnished 2 bedroom apartment in DC, financial literacy education, parenting curriculum, career mentors, and work placement in their fields of interest

An extremely useful article by @tarekzismail for scholars, family defenders, activists & especially for all the families whose constitutional rights are routinely violated by CPS investigators who act as if they are above the 4th Amendment. 👏🏾🔥👊🏾

Congratulations @SarahBChilders 🎉
We are excited to announce our second reading of the semester on Tuesday, November 7th, at 7:30 PM with our very own @SarahBChilders reading from her recently released memoir, Prodigals: A Sister's Memoir of Appalachia and Loss, published by @UGAPress!
We are very sad and send our condolences.
Dr. Lawerence was Lulani’s writing professor this semester at Towson. Lulani was very excited to be her student and was hoping to build a student professor relationship with her.
We are praying for Dr. Lawerence’s family 🙏🏿
With great sorrow and shock, the professional writing community at Towson University mourns Dr. Halcyon Lawrence. In five years at our school, @Halcyon_L proved to be a kind and generous colleague, a scholar of international reputation, and a caring mentor. We will miss her.

One solution to the manufactured Black maternal health crisis is to replicate maternity-perinatal units w/the LOWEST scores of obstetric racism such as @ZSFGCare with STRONG Midwifery Leadership under @midwifeana ! Congratulations on being the safest place to birth while Black!

We are shocked and disturbed to learn that a landlord in Chicago expressing anti-Muslim and anti-Palestinian views broke into a Muslim family's apartment and attacked them with a knife, injuring the mother and killing her 6-year-old son, Wadea Al-Fayoume. @cairchicago will hold a press conference this afternoon to share more details, God willing. The Islamophobic rhetoric and anti-Palestinian racism being spread by politicians, media outlets, and social media platforms must stop. Now. #Palestine #Israel #Islamophobia #Wadea
I had the pleasure of hearing Dr. Evans speak at @CFSHRC last week.
My book arrived this week and I’m planning moments to spend with the wisdom within this text! 🩷
