I'd like to do my thing of gifting a class/teacher a full free class set of whatever their novel is when they get back to school.
So what is your first class novel? Which year? Why? I'll pick someone and send them your way so your year gets off to a ripper.
RTs appreciated.
Not moving classroom this year, so yesterday, instead of tidying up, I took great delight in walking away from the mess to join my colleagues in the staff room to celebrate the end of a fantastic year 🎉

One last time for the people at the back (and @Telegraph).
1,265 is not the total number of hours teachers work per year. It’s the total number of hours they can be told *where* to work.
If teachers only did those hours, the school system would collapse.

Throwing teachers in the deep end and letting them sink or swim doesn’t work if there aren’t any staff to replace the ones that sink.
Support your staff.
Thanks for attending todays TedTalk.

1. Lack of respect
2. Sense of entitlement
Two huge problems in our society. Schools need backing to:
1. Not tolerate lack of respect/basic manners - proper consequences
2. Rejection of ‘demands’ of those parents/students who expect everything without any responsibility
A few of my Year 6s from last year popped in to say hello today at the end of school. It truly made my heart warm to hear how amazingly they are doing at secondary school and that they wanted to come back and tell us all about it!
