Politics is slowly eroding the moral fibre of our country, Ghana. If an MP can be heckled like this publicly without any sheer respect of his office and what he stands for, then you the ordinary citizen is not safe either. Shame on you EOCO and your representatives

I’ve come to you realize that the more you know about the music business the less you speak. You just become a silent observer of trash takes and you take it in good faith

Some artiste management contracts have a Power of Attorney clause. This clause gives the manager the power to make binding decisions and enter into contracts on behalf of the artiste within whatever scope the clause defines. When such a clause is in place, the manager does not need to forge the artiste’s signature before binding them to a contract covered by that scope. This is why it’s very important to pay attention to this clause and limit the scope of the kind of documents or contracts the manager may sign on behalf of the artiste. Another layer of protection is to reserve approval rights for all decisions and contracts.

The major issue is splits. Most of our creatives in the music space are still grappling with the issue of splits and it’s worse when OGs enter the chat 😂 so I hope he has that covered. The next issue is whether he’s signed with a PRO (which collects only public performance royalties) and a publisher (which generally collects both mechanical and public performance royalties). If GHAMRO were effective, membership alone would have guaranteed he was collecting most of his money but yawa dey 😅.

An artiste claims he has a team but doesn’t even know what roles they perform on his team. Then it says a lot about the artist choice of team members

The rate at which every thing is being looked at with political lenses and not for what they are is really troubling.

🚨🗣️ John Terry advising Ghanaian journalist Juliet Bawuah: "I think Ghana have a good team. No need to sit back and play in a low block. You can't play that way when you reach farther in the competition. I think you've got the players as well."

Value is invisible to most people until the market validates it .

The conversations surrounding label partnerships with artists is appalling. Record labels have been the driving force behind the artistes you people consider the goats. Let’s not diminish their influence in artistes careers because of award schemes.
