Funny how people who rant about the awfulness of "defund the police" are quiet about NYC's enforcement unit for the most common form of housing discrimination having zeros staffers left, or how there are no more lawyers available to represent tenants getting evicted.

The American Rescue Plan allocated $130 billion to keep schools safe in this pandemic. Illinois alone received $5 billion. Where did billions of dollars go to? There needs to be a public accounting state-by-state on how these funds were utilized.

Love having one less prep than expected bc principal scheduled a last minute assembly about non-existent safety policies and how "we'll navigate these uncharted waters together" when the problem is there isnt enough gd room for the kids and no quarantine policies

People in the jail where I teach have been on a 23-hour-a-day lockdown in their cells for over 400 days. I understand the efforts to protect people from the virus, but this is a grave human rights violation and it cannot go on like this. washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/…
