I’m a center-left democrat with progressive sprinklings and my TV is feeding me nonstop good political news and I don’t know how to feel.
Will I feel something if I switch to Fox News? How are they doing over there?
Sometimes I think about how I was a judge for a mock trial at the Santa Monica courthouse and sat in the Judge’s seat. The desk had a plastic cover and amongst photos and documents underneath there was… a fortune from a fortune cookie.

I was planning on working in my pj’s in bed all day.
But then my dad said he was getting a hair cut. (His barber is downtown)
So I went to the office and had lunch with my dad.

I double booked myself for hearings this morning and forgot about one of them
Then Mitch emailed me like, how was the hearing?
And by then it was 9:07 and I’m locked into one hearing and trying to sign into the other.
The hearing for Mitch’s case is in a department where the judge typically runs all morning so I figured if I show up and wait I can ask the clerk the outcome at the end.
And so I do that and sit through two final status conferences. The first one involved a man who died from eloctrocution and they were discussing photographs of his dead body as evidence. The second one was an HOA case and my ethics professor was one of the attorneys.
Anyway, Mitch’s hearing was taken off calendar because it’s moot. There was an ex parte for the same relief last month.
I already knew that would happen. I’ve known that for weeks.
Don’t tell Mitch.
it is fruits and vegetables vocabulary week in Spanish 103 and I am irrationally upset by the word el champiñón
there is nothing champinion-esque about a mushroom. mushroom are fungi and therefore they are aliens. mushrooms are here to take over are planet how could you possibly reward their existence for making them sound like “champion” in Spanish. this is an outrage and I want to speak to the manager
