“No amount of explaining why differences in group means don’t translate into determinism at the individual level does any good.”
I think @JonahDispatch is typical of many principled conservatives: They hate the idea of using such a reductive measure as IQ to judge people's potential and they hate the idea that people can't rise above their disadvantages if they try hard enough. And I have found that no amount of explaining why differences in group means don't translate into determinism at the individual level does any good.
Jonah and I haven't ever tried to hash it out once and for all. What would be the point? He likes me but thinks I'm too...well, I don't know what word he would use. I like him but think he's a little too pollyannaish. I have a similar relationship on these topics with @DavidBrooks224.
In neither case does it get in the way of the friendship. And that is actually the point of this post. It's okay for two friends to hold different views on topics that are important to them. It is not obligatory to try to convince your friend he's wrong. You can just mutually avoid the topic and carry on.

Dude has so internalized his scumfuck terrorist parents treating him like shit that he lashes out in jealous rage at people who he thinks had a better childhood than him.
Socialism is a mental illness.
El-Sayed went on this bizarre rant against Pete Hegseth -- claiming that Hegseth "rode the pine" in "whatever sport he played" in high school.
He invoked Hegseth's mother (moms are fair game now, huh?), and claimed she was "the type" who would have worn her son's jersey to games.
*Hegseth was an all-state point guard in high school in Minnesota, set various school records. He played college ball and got some floor time in the 2001 NCAA tournament. El-Sayed played club lacrosse at Michigan.*
Here's El-Sayed's animosity-filled diatribe against Hegseth:
"You know he would have rode the pine. He probably got to start 2 games his entire career, playing whatever sport it was."
"His parents came and cheered so hard for him."
"Bro, I feel bad for you. Somebody told you you're a lot better than you really are."
"There's something about being a brown kid whose parents...no matter what you do you're never enough."
"For him, the very fact that he made the team: his mom was making cake, she was wearing his jersey, she had a cap made for him. You know the type."

If Republicans were smart, they would find the tallest girls in Michigan College Republicans and send them to El-Sayed events to try and get their selfies taken with the candidate to show how short he is.

Patrick Stewart spent most of his life hating his father. At 72 he read a medical note from 1940 and had to start the man over from the beginning.
He grew up in a two-up two-down in Mirfield, Yorkshire. His father was a regimental sergeant major. The violence at home was aimed at his mother, and police came to the house more than once. Stewart was a boy and could do nothing.
He has been a patron of Refuge, the domestic violence charity, for years. "I do what I do in my mother's name, because I couldn't help her then," he says.
Then he went looking for his father's war record.
At the Imperial War Museum he read the notes. In 1940, after France with the British Expeditionary Force, his father was diagnosed with what was then called severe shell shock. Today it is called PTSD. He was never treated for it. It never left him.
A doctor told Stewart that every condition of his childhood he had just described was a textbook symptom of an untreated veteran.
In the video below, a woman at a convention asks him what he is most proud of outside acting. He answers with this.
He now works for Refuge in his mother's name and for Combat Stress in his father's, and says he does both in equal measure.
For 70 years his father was the man who did it. He is now also a man it was done to.
Is that an explanation, or an excuse that arrived 70 years too late?

I lived in center city for almost 16 years. It’s absolutely heartbreaking. The city is too important to let rot, but the Democrat machine is so entrenched that nothing will change.

The Philadelphia of Ben Franklin's day was clean, prosperous, wealthy and a hub of culture.
Never forgive them for what they did to the birthplace of our nation.

Here is the video of the Oregon trans non-binary male Daniel “Asia” Jones refusing to cooperate at his first court hearing for double m—rder in Lorain County, Ohio. Jones’ obstruction was similar to what the Zizians do in court.
Another Zizian trans killer? An Oregon male who identifies as non-binary has been arrested over the Oct. 28 Ohio shooting executions of his father, a Vietnamese-American Oberlin professor (Pipo Nguyen-Duy), and his stepmother.
Daniel Jones (2021 booking photo below), who identifies as a nonbinary person named “Asia,” told investigators he was trying to escape a "cult." He has a computer science background and a prior conviction in Oregon for taking upskirt photos of an underage girl.
The killings in Ohio mirror the double-execution of the parents of one of the Zizian trans cult members in Pennsylvania. The Zizians were made up of computer science specialists. It’s unknown at this moment which cult Jones was referring to before he was arrested.

What a heartbreaking week it has been. Sir Patrick Stewart was a friend, a colleague, and a magnificent actor. From the stage to the bridge of the Enterprise, he brought intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity to everything he did. Captain Picard stood for the best of us, and so did the man who played him. I was filled with affection and admiration for him and his work.
My heart goes out to Sunny and his family. He will be deeply missed.

This is seismic. They should move to freeze all bank assets of anybody in this country illegally, then step aside for the stampede to the exits.
🚨 BREAKING: Stephen Miller announces the Trump administration and Sec. Scott Bessent are moving to DE-BANK illegal aliens, making it UNBEARABLE to stay in America
BASED 🔥🔥
"Once illegal aliens lose their access to capital, that is going to be a MAJOR driver of self deportation!"
"We are NOT going to allow illegal aliens to use banking services in this country. You know, contrary to popular perception, the stupid phrase about 'illegal aliens living in the shadows.' Illegal aliens DON'T live in the shadows! Illegal aliens have credit cards."
"They have bank accounts and their paid with direct deposit."
"So illegal aliens fully participate in the commercial systems, the financial systems of America — shutting that down is a MASSIVE engine for deportation."
"The Treasury Department just issued new guidance to financial institutions to banks."
"The next step in this process is us meeting individually with banks and financial institutions on cooperating with us to remove the illegal aliens from the banking system."

When you lose Sorkin you’re in trouble.
Wow, Democrat Campaign Chair Suzan DelBene (D-WA) TORCHED by CNBC hosts over Democrat Mary Peltola election rigging scandal in Alaska 🎥
Andrew Ross Sorkin: “You don't believe the report at all?”
“You don't believe, You genuinely don't believe it happened. Do you want to know if it happened? ... As a human, as a citizen, if you're watching this play out and you say to yourself, this is crazy?”
For 4+ minutes, DelBene insists she believes Peltola & her campaign had NOTHING to do with placing a fake Dan Sullivan on the ballot after bombshell NYTimes investigation, complete with text message evidence, sparking multiple federal & criminal investigations
DelBene goes on a whataboutism tangent: “Well, the campaign has been clear that they deny what happened … Republicans from the very beginning have been set up trying to rig the system”
➡️Joe Kernen: “Chairwoman, it's good you got that, you know, not a lot of DelBenes around so you probably have, Democrats won't be able to find anyone to run against”

I have never used the phrase “woke right,” because it’s stupid and wrong. Many of the people being labeled as such are just Buchananite paleocons, if younger and more crude than Buchanan (or Sobran, et al.). The “woke right” label isn’t clever or illuminating.
