I'm not very good chilling out in the hols so have taken the opportunity to start a new blog playing around with AI in the history clasroom teachingtimewithtech.weebly.… #AI #ArtificialIntelligence
Does anyone have any practice source questions they've made for AQA cold war A-level paper (2R) they'd be willing to share please? 🙏I have a couple of swaps ready! #aqahistory
A really lovely human being and teacher - enjoyed having the pleasure of his company and insights on the teaching fellowship with @histassoc
A lovely appreciation of the noble and much missed historian Arthur Burns: academic.oup.com/hwj/advance…
Nice quick A-level starter this morning using Chat GBT. Of course, the class can disagree with Chat GBT's choices as well as long as they can justify their thinking (and yes, I'm teaching in an MFL room today! Salut!) #historyteacher #AIintheclassroom
Having spent my day in Gloucestershire Archives doing conservation training for my archive job, I now have the pleasure of finally reading the @histassoc TH magazine for my History Teaching job on the train back! #twojobs #bestofbothworlds 🙌
A great read - so interesting for thinking about the Sophia Duleep Singh SOW I'm developing at work. Have learnt so much about the Indian suffragist movement and the links to Indian nationalism. "India cannot be free until women are free and women cannot be free until... (1/2)
So sad to hear this. Had the privilege of being on the receiving end of Arthur's expertise (and bonhomie) at Waterloo as part of my Teaching Fellowship with the Historical Association back in 2018. RIP Arthur.

Me: With 10 days til term starts I'll sneak a trip to North Norfolk and not think about school. 🌊🦀🍦 Also me: Wow this book is awesome and look I have planned my first Year 13 lesson in the back 😈 #historyteacher #TeacherLife
Fantastic - totally giving this a go this year - thank you for sharing
For those who have asked about how I will introduce my Y10 & Y11 groups to using Cornell - here is a link to a very quick guide.

Really looking forward to having a listen to this #NHS75 #immigranthistory
Went to two excellent talks yesterday at the @CVHISTORYFEST (my 8th one I think!). The first was by @Ms_PatelHistory where I particularly enjoyed finding out about flag pole politics in Victorian New Zealand, the other by @tracyborman. Great day had by all #cvhistoryfest
When it's your "day off" with the kids and you take them to the local museum and you get to a) dress up as a Victorian and b) pose with the portrait of the guy you're researching for a book... The best kind of days off, surely? #historyteacher #historylover
Another great @SchoolArchives1 conference - this year at @MGS_Archives - many thanks for hosting! So happy I found the SARA leaflet stuffed in a drawer when I took the archive on 18 months ago - tidying that day was best decision ever! Happy speakers below! #schoolarchives
Already having a super morning! Thank you @SchoolArchives1
What a treat to join so many archival colleagues at the @schoolarchives1 annual conference at @MGS_Archives. Great to catch up with other professionals, share best practice and consider the challenges of capturing digital archives. @sdsheritage #archivistsknowhowtoparty
Have wanted to visit this bit of Manchester since I learned about the Peterloo Massacre when I was 15. I was very blessed to have an inspirational history teacher, Miss Sewell who made the period fascinating and sparked a life long love of it. #historyteacher #peterloo – at Manchester, England
Sweetheart Abbey, founded 1273 by Dervorguilla of Galloway named for her husband John de Balliol. Their son, John, was King of Scots 1292-6. My older daughter said it was beautiful. I concur. #historylife – at Scotland, United Kingdom
