The Senior Officers wanted to take this time to thank Ms. Hardy and Ms. Muzquiz for all they do in our wonderful school. They work hard both inside and outside the classroom to ensure that every student feels seen and heard. We also love how much school spirit they bring! 💜
We wore yellow for our kids on Wednesday because their future is bright! Thank you for the shirts @GbulletPeggy 💜 Lucky to be on the US History team with these great humans.
A *much needed* teacher appreciation this week. Thank you so much to this amazing human for the shout out. What a fun game to watch. I’m so proud of you, Kylie!
Thanks to all these amazing teens for making your teachers feel loved.

“We must confront the uncomfortable truth: the state of Texas, despite enjoying record surpluses, has neglected its constitutional duty to adequately fund public education. The result? A system where rural schools are systematically starved of the resources they need to thrive.”

On this day in 1974, President Nixon resigned. The story starts with this battered gray file cabinet. bit.ly/3SBTuAL
I love teachers teaching teachers!! Looking at data & coming to conclusions to incorporate in 24-25 across all HS & MS subjects. Woop! @LMatejo
Just listened to They Came for the Schools on audiobook. It’s a heavy topic, but with Louisiana’s recent law requiring the Ten Commandments in classrooms, it feels like it should be a must read or listen for public school advocates.
I really enjoyed this conversation with @lbarronlopez about "They Came for the Schools" for @pbsnewshour!

I’ve just finished reading @JonHaidt’s bestselling new book THE ANXIOUS GENERATION.
I think it may be the most important nonfiction book of the decade, and today I want to tell you why. 🧵
Sausalito / San Francisco might be the best place to read Galapagos! Video of sea lions for the laughs. Yay for summer reading!

We recently learned the Library's hometown zoo (@NationalZoo) will soon be home to giant pandas 🐼🐼 once again! It inspired us to look for panda content in our collections & we found these Works Progress Administration poster ads for the first panda exhibit at a U.S. zoo! 🧵
