I love this! Amazing things happen when we shift our mindset and become partners with our students and their learning.
Once upon a classroom, I thought myself the host of the house, "My Teaching."
Now, I humbly accept that I am a guest in the house, "Their Learning."
Their Learning guides My Teaching.
This changed everything for me.

The days leading up to the end of the year are always a mixed bag of emotions for me. Today, @MountainViewHi2’s graduating seniors were not at school. While I am so excited for their adventures ahead, the building is not the same. #WeDoAtMountainView

Love this! This makes me think of one of a tool I learned in a coaching class: establish the purpose of the conversation from the start, even if that means just asking them, “Are you looking for advice or do you just want me to listen?”
Picture this: someone comes to you for #advice. Instead of indulging your advice monster, actually listen & connect. This person will have to struggle with the decision regardless of your advice. Know that you can't "save" them from struggling. But you can be a sounding board.
