Earlier this week @MsManningJBC did a @gimkit activity on multiplication. The kids kept on icing me out of the game, no fair! @CougarScholars

This is the ORIGINAL boiler from 1953 at Mary Scott Preschool. It often fails in winter meaning our 4-year-olds wear hats, coats & gloves in class. That’s criminal. Mayor @LevarStoney’s budget = new boiler here. RVA, this simple: if Mayor’s budget goes down, kids don’t get heat.

Mayor @LevarStoney's budget provides $6.1 MILLION to increase pay for ALL RPS staff. If we want to attract and retain the best educators for EVERY RPS school, shouldn't we pay them what they're truly worth? If we REALLY want equity, we have to fund it. #YesForRPS #FundEquity

Aren’t we tired of telling our students to wait just a little longer to get the schools they deserve? Let’s stop deferring their dreams. Please, be #YesForRPS by supporting Mayor @LevarStoney’s budget. We simply can’t let our children’s dreams dry up, fester, and explode.

It’s not enough to disavow racist symbols. We need to attack policies designed to preserve racial disparities. VA spends 8.3% LESS in its highest-poverty school districts - with high percentages of children of color - than it does in its wealthiest ones. Think that’s an accident?

We are celebrating #CSEdWeek2018. My students loved the #hourofcode activity Dance Party from @codeorg! They want more! They choose to code during their free time and a few said they did some coding at home. #WeAreRPS #CodeRPS @CougarScholars @RPS_Schools @RVAITRTs
