Malaysia slipped through the cracks of a deeply flawed system. At school, she often showed up limping. Lamberton's administration failed her completely. She was cited for truancy because her foster family wasn't sending her to school regularly. In years past, that would have triggered an automatic welfare check from a school counselor or climate manager if there was a principal worth a damn. But under the current school administration, nothing happened.
