Teachers do so much more than deliver lessons. They counsel. They coach. They mentor. And they challenge students to explore, to question, and to learn. For all that they do, I want to say thank you – from one teacher to another. Happy #WorldTeachersDay! pm.gc.ca/en/news/statements/…
Looking forward to this year’s BSF! The theme this year, “Rooted in Heritage, Culture and Identity!” Thank you @StPatricksOCSB for hosting this year! ❤️💚💛🖤 @ocsbequity #ocsbBSF #ocsbBSA @OttCatholicSB

💙 On the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, we are reminded that every person deserves the opportunity to learn, belong, and thrive.
Across the OCSB, we are committed to fostering school communities rooted in equity, where barriers are reduced, every voice is valued, and each student is supported to reach their God-given potential. Together, through compassion, advocacy, and service, we can help build a more just and hopeful future for all.

Everyone has the right to food.
Yet millions of people worldwide go to bed hungry.
On Friday’s #WorldFoodDay, @WFP is calling for greater global efforts to ensure food reaches every person in need. wfp.org/global-hunger-crisis

Today is International Day of the Girl! 🌍💜
From our youngest learners to our graduating students, girls across the OCSB are learning, creating, leading and discovering what they’re capable of.
Across our schools, girls have opportunities to discover their strengths and build confidence in and beyond the classroom. Initiatives like Girls on the Run and the STEM for Girls Club are just two examples of the many ways girls are encouraged to learn, grow and pursue their interests.
We’re also inspired by OCSB graduates who are creating opportunities for girls beyond our community. Distinguished Catholic Alumni Award recipient Lisa Travella-Murawsky is doing just that through her work in India, helping girls and young women build confidence and thrive through sport.
Today, we celebrate the voices, talents and potential of girls. By giving them opportunities to lead, explore their interests and share their ideas, we help create a community where every girl knows she matters and has an important role in shaping the future. 💜

🧡🪶On September 30, the OCSB will join communities across Canada in recognizing Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
We invite our students, staff, and families to wear orange in honour of Residential School Survivors, in memory of the children who never returned home, and in recognition of the lasting impacts of residential schools on First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities.
Together, we wear orange to remember, to learn, and to reaffirm that Every Child Matters. 🧡
