L'HOCINE

I had a conversation during Champs with a coach after he said "Zeish is so lucky" Meaning that Zeish was lucky to have found an org that kept believing in him despite difficult years While I do agree with the sentiment, I must say I hate that choice of words Luck implies randomness. And I don't think what happened was random What he was actually referring to was the fact that despite bad results, the organisation did not place the blame on Zeish. It happens way too often that orgs without actual tangible proofs of results being a direct cause of the coach's work, still decide to let them go It's the whole turnover discussion of esports Now what people call luck, I call grace. And grace is never random, it is always a choice Grace is what everybody wants but always finds excuses not to give We always think we deserve grace while others should earn it. And yes, grace is so hard to give because it's ALWAYS when you're in a difficult spot It's the act of magnanimity, being generous with your time, patience and trust during a difficult moment, when facing failure, loss and sometimes worse Of course some people will talk about him being friends with others in the org. But I think most of us have had a difficult time showing grace EVEN to close friends and family Showing grace and trust even with those closest to us isn't as easy as people make it sound Now even if I've had the chance to work with some people at KC, I don't know what happened exactly between Zeish and KC. I'm only saying that, when talking about luck, you actuallly deprive people of their effort and remove their credit This video made me think back to that conversation and I just wanted to share my perspective on it I'm glad KC chose to keep Zeish and trust him and his work. The conditions were tough this year, VCT 2027 will be unstable with lots of surprises but it's not his first rodeo💙🫡
