Australia next gen players: Cooper Connolly at 23 years Oliver Peake at 25 years Fergus O'Neil at 25 years Joel Davies at 22 years Tom Straker at 21 years Mahli Beardman at 21 years Hugh Weibgen at 21 years Callum Vidler at 20 years San Konstas at 20 years Teague Wyllie at 20 years Oliver Peake, Sam Konstas, Fergus O'Neill, Mahli Beardman, Callum Vidler and Cooper Connolly are the ones who are going to have long careers for Australia. Oliver Peake will be the captain of Australia in test cricket within the next 5 years is my bold prediction. He seems to me to be a very level headed individual. Oliver Peake has all the attributes of becoming a great cricketer but as I said in my previous post the next two years are very crucial in terms of grooming and polishing his skills. Best advice is to continue backing and picking him. The same can be said for Cooper Connolly. He has already proven himself by performing in big crowds in the IPL and has done well in his limited career in ODI's. He needs more game time and backing.

Breaking 🚨 Pat Cummins and Steve Smith will be sharing captaincy duties during an important 12 month period for Australia in red ball cricket. While Pat Cummins is expected to lead the side in all marquee series Steve Smith is expected to lead the side in his absence to manage his workload at some stage.
