Importance of being open!🌍 One of the greatest strengths of @MultiQC is open source development. What started as a one-person project in 2015 has grown into a collaborative effort involving 235 contributors today.
This represents the true spirit of open science - researchers worldwide contributing to build something greater than any individual could create alone.
Such collaboration has been crucial to MultiQC's success, enabling support for an ever-expanding ecosystem of #bioinformatics tools.📊 Thank you to everyone who contributed.👏

🎉 Celebrating 10 years of @MultiQC and the importance of being open!
A decade ago, a simple idea emerged from the frustration of manually parsing through countless bioinformatics tool outputs: what if we could automatically aggregate and visualize QC metrics from multiple tools and multiple samples in a single, interactive report?
That idea became MultiQC, and today we’re celebrating a decade of transforming bioinformatics worldwide.💡
📊 The numbers speak volumes:
🔹 Support for almost 170 bioinformatics tools
🔹 1 run every 3 seconds (25k+ daily runs)
🔹 From single contributor to 235 contributors
🔹 Over 7000 journal citations (~8-9 per day)
MultiQC’s success story is fundamentally a community success story, enabled by the incredible bioinformaticians that embraced, contributed to, and championed the tool.

I'm looking for a nice pull-quote about @MultiQC that we can use in some @SeqeraLabs materials, if anyone fancies dropping something nice into the comments as an early Christmas present for me, that would be much appreciated! 🙏🏻 😅

Can I say it? This is my favourite bioinformatics tool.
It's DONE! It's finally DONE!
One of the most-requested features for MultiQC is finally released today. I created the issue and mapped out roughly how it should work way back in 2017, but it took until today for @vldsavelyev to figure out the mechanics and write the code 🎉

OMG YAY!! Love the separation of R1/R2 breakdown vs total per-sample summaries in @MultiQC! Well done @tallphil and @vldsavelyev!! You will save hours if not days of interpreting sequencing QC results ❤️❤️❤️

This was a super cool podcast episode, had a lot of fun chatting to Josh about how they push @nextflowio and @MultiQC to the limit at @bugseq - some seriously cool tech solutions coming together with the @SeqeraLabs OSS stack! 🚀
🎙️ Ep.32 of the #Channels #podcast! We chat to Josh Chorlton, CTO of @bugseq about the infrastructure they use to deploy @nextflowio and @MultiQC at scale. We cover mixing Groovy + Python with #Protobufs, building Docker images with @bazelbuild and more. xitter.cf/i/broadcasts/1gqxvQReg…

I love new violin plots, you don't have to order the table to see what's the highest and lowest number and then export it so you can get median values. Also it's super easy to understand distribution of your data, which is very useful when you got something like 100+samples. 🧡

If you're using the official MultiQC docker image anywhere in your code, please note that ewels/multiqc will no longer get any updates. Future releases will go to multiqc/multiqc instead. 🐳

The #Docker images have also been updated. The old ones are still in place for #reproducibility purposes, but will no longer receive updates.
Please use `docker pull multiqc/multiqc` going forward 🚀 (and equivalent for GitHub packages)
