St David's Community Recycling Mumbles

Angry that this news has come out of the blue. Every household uses blister packs, and the pharmaceutical companies are making money hand over fist 😡 Time to give back you lot, and take some responsibility! @TerraCycleUK @Pfizer_UK @GSK @_RocheUK @JNJNews @Novartis @merckgroup

Our Facebook post will help you to understand and take part in our scheme, to save recyclable packaging from landfill, and as a bonus, raise money for charity. Please RETWEET, to inform as many people as possible about our scheme. 😘 m.facebook.com/story.php?sto… @aplastic_planet

Come on guys, help us make it to ✨£1,000✨ Unfortunately @walkers_crisps will only be paying £1/kg now not £2/kg, so it will be harder. Seems @MariahCarey was worth £9million, but saving millions of crisp packets produced every day from landfill isn't 😥 @HughFW @aplastic_planet

We've nearly hit the 15kg minimum weight to send our first box of pens off to be recycled 😁 If you have a secret stash of dead pens, please drop them off to us! Can you collect in your workplace or school? 🤔 Please get in touch. @BICGroup @SwanseaCouncil @HughFW @964thewave

We have a new and improved @TerraCycleUK Recycling Station set up in Brynmill Co-op (adjacent to Singleton Park and the Rec car park). Check our Facebook page for more details Facebook.com/mumblesrecycles @coopuk @SwanseaUni @SwanseaUniSU @Recycle4Wales @SwanseaCouncil @sthelensp

This is the largest amount of recycling we've had ready to send off on one day so far. 🤩 #waronplastic #recycling @Keep_Wales_Tidy @recycle_now @Recycle4Swansea @TerraCycleUK @walkers_crisps @GarnierUK @KPSnacks @ColgateUK @McVities @hovisbakery @Pringles_UK @BurtsBeesUK

NB. We can only recycle and raise money for items and packaging on the list, as determined by the scheme sponsors. Everything else is useless, however 'similar' you think it might be. Any questions, please ask. @stdavidscps @MarysMeals @redcafemumbles docs.google.com/document/d/1…

Can you help? Can you collect in your work place, in a community group, or amongst family and friends? 🤔🙏 THE ENVIRONMENT NEEDS YOU! You really can help to make a difference, by saving more waste from landfill, and making more money for charity. @redcafemumbles @MarysMeals

This should give you an idea of how much waste we've collected to be recycled, and raise nearly £1700 for charity in the last year! 🤔😮 #waronplastic @TerraCycleUK @Recycle4Swansea @Recycle4Wales @SwanseaCouncil @Keep_Wales_Tidy @HughFW @SwanseaOnline10

Beneficiaries of £1346 raised so far. £250 @maggiesswansea £250 @Swansea_Sams £167.79 @ACF_UK £450 - @stdavidscps (£50 month as scheme organisers) £29 @tyhafan (through @recyclingswans) Plus £200 @WaterAidUK (sales of @WhoGivesACrapTP) @Recycle4Swansea @HughFW @Recycle4Wales – at Black Pill, Wales

Over £1,000 worth of rubbish that would normally be tossed in a black bag and sent to landfill! 😮 @Recycle4Swansea @stdavidscps @EcoSchoolsWales @WalesOnline @KeepWalesTidy @964thewave @SwanseaOnline10 @SwanseaCouncil @Recycle4Wales @HughFW @ruthmosalski @TerraCycleUK – at Black Pill, Wales

We have 2 new recycling stations in Co-op Bishopston and West Cross and a new improved set-up in Tesco Express Mumbles, plus the original in Co-op Mumbles. 😁 Check our Facebook page for accepted items Facebook.com/MumblesRecycles @coopuk @Recycle4Swansea @Recycle4Wales @TerraCycleUK – at Llanelli, Wales

Hurrah, we've come third in another Terracycle competition! 😍🤗 This time, the charity Action Against Hunger will benefit to the tune of £100. We should be in a position to pay out by the end of the year. 😁 We'll be in touch. @TerraCycleUK @ACF_UK @hovisbakery – at Gwaun-Cae-Gurwen, Wales

#WorldMentalHealthDay We raise money for charity through our recycling endeavours. Swansea Samaritans is one of the local charities we decided could really benefit from extra funding in this day and age. @SwanseaSams @samaritans @TerraCycleUK @WMHDay – at Black Pill, Wales
