SIGHTED: Alphabet now secures its own assets on Solana
It uses Google Multi-Party Compute, a new custody system for banks:
- The key is split into shares, so no single device holds the full key
- Enough shares must agree before a transaction is signed
- Limits and approved addresses are checked first
At launch, planned for early 2027, it will support Ed25519, the signature scheme Solana runs on. A meaningful signal for the network.
