Baier: When they say they’re stopping Iran from getting a nuclear weapon do you care about that? El-Sayed: Of course I do. We had done that under Obama. If Trump had cared about stopping Iran from getting a nuclear weapon, he wouldn't have torn up the JCPOA. This is entirely about his vanity.

The replies here are a great illustration as to why DSA/the left are so fucking bad at winning elections, they refuse to engage with voters as they present themselves, and instead project that every voter is secretly supportive of Medicare for All/socialism
No, no, I was told these guys were angry Democrats have moved too far to the center, and haven't embraced socialism enough

Two bins, 92 election ballots total, were found in a dumpster at Seattle’s Golden Gardens. King County Elections confirmed the ballots were recovered and replacements issued to the affected voters. The U.S. Postal Inspection Service says it is investigating. But this isn’t happening in isolation. In Utah, a former USPS carrier was indicted for allegedly dumping about 300 mail-in ballots. In California, officials are investigating mail theft that may have included ballots. ProPublica just reported that USPS service cuts caused late-ballot rejection rates to double or triple in affected rural counties. The paper trail is getting harder to ignore. If you sent in a mail-in ballot, make sure it’s been received. We need answers. Every ballot matters.

A person experiencing homelessness takes a hot shower, washes their clothes, puts on a brand-new pair of clean socks, and says to me: “I feel like a human being again.” Imagine that. Treat people like human beings, and they start to feel like human beings again. Sometimes, dignity starts with something as simple as a hot shower and a clean pair of socks.

Vote to spite your red state. If enough of you do that, then maybe it won't be so fucked.
Replying to @docrocktex26
Protip: sitting out elections because your state is red is why your state is red.

Whoa. The U.S. added 90% fewer jobs in 2025 than originally reported. That’s not a rounding error. That’s a massive difference between the economy Americans were told we had and the one we actually had.
When first reported, 2025’s jobs reports added up to 1.2 million new jobs. After revisions, the economy added just 116,000 — 90% less.

Basically, this is the "eating the cats, eating the dogs" of this election cycle. It's a lie, based on a misunderstanding being pushed as an epidemic. We have to remove these kinds of people from power... forever, if we ever hope to progress and thrive.
Ashley Hinson: "This one really really ticked me off. Josh Turek thinks it's okay to go school and have the kids be able to change their gender pronouns at school and not tell the parents about it. That is just crazy, right?"

Things are moving so fast that everyone seems to have completely missed how insane it is that AI companies have been allowed to unleash agentic AI products with no regulatory guidelines.
SCOOP: Major U.S. banks are detecting unauthorized third-party AI agents inside customer accounts, including some attempting to take actions that appear to be independent of user instructions, sources told Axios. The findings have alarmed banking executives, who are racing to restrict access to their systems as AI moves at a velocity faster than financial institutions can respond, multiple industry and bank executives told Axios. Several banks are now preparing for worst-case and even “day after” scenarios, including how to rapidly secure or restore customer accounts if things go wrong, the people said. Several bank executives told Axios they're struggling to distinguish between human users and AI agents. One executive said banks also struggle to determine whether agents are authorized by customers or potentially operating without their permission, more akin to rogue agent behavior. Read my latest for Axios here: axios.com/2026/10/22/ai-agen…

When are we gonna talk about how propaganda has convinced the populace of things that are demonstrably false?
Trans voter to @AOC: Trans people in America feel like they've been abandoned by the Democratic Party, that we are a losing issue, that it's not worth defending us. What do you say to that? AOC:

they’re calling it “Black October” and i don’t think people realize how serious this is in the last 48 hours there have been over 27 major cybersecurity incidents. not in a month. not in a week. in 48 hours any ONE of these would normally be the biggest story of the year PHP: critical vulnerability in the software running 80% of the web. severity 9.2 out of 10 Node.js: high-severity flaw letting attackers take over servers remotely. affects versions 22, 24, and 26 Java: also compromised. three of the most used programming languages on earth hit at the same time GitLab: a perfect 10 out of 10 severity hole in every version since 2014 Railway: hosting platform compromised. API keys for OpenAI, Claude, Stripe potentially exposed Signal: a bug that could leave your mic and camera on after you hang up WordPress: hackers stole a plugin maker’s keys and planted backdoors on websites LiteLLM: an AI tool downloaded 3.4 million times a day was poisoned with a password stealer and that’s not even half the list thousands of AI agent swarms are reportedly scanning and attacking vulnerable servers right now. automated. around the clock security researchers are saying this might be the early stages of a global cyber incident that nobody fully understands yet if you run a website, use cloud services, store API keys on hosting platforms, or use any software built on PHP, Node.js, or Java you are potentially affected update everything. rotate your API keys. change your passwords on critical services. enable 2FA everywhere you haven’t already this is not a normal week on the internet. this is something different

The GRU hacked into Jared Kushner's iPhone. Dutch military intelligence (MIVD) then recruited a GRU spy who gave them access to the hacked phone. What MIVD discovered was that Kushner had access to two bank accounts --one Azerbaijani, the other Israeli --where Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Emirati ruler Mohammed bin Zayed deposited money. It sounds like a slightly far-fetched episode of "Slow Horses," but it's real. And it proves just how eye-poppingly corrupt this administration was and continues to be as its "special envoy" decides the fate of tens of millions in Europe in the Middle East. Simply incredible reporting by Matthew Cole, drawn from his new book on Kushner. vanityfair.com/story/jared-k…

Todd Blanche won’t rule out the DOJ blocking election certifications. This is un-American and anti-democratic. Hands off our votes.
Attorney General Todd Blanche leaves open the possibility that the Justice Department could seek to block states from certifying votes in the midterm elections, though Blanche insists it wasn’t his intention to “improperly interfere with elections.” nbcnews.com/politics/justice…

Looks like 5 states voting machines have been HACKED are clicking back to a default republican candidate. Double check every punch, some people said took 3 times to make it accept the Democrat candidate. 1 state a glitch, but when 5 to 7 states machines are defective, sabotage
