We’re sending TPUs to space (yes, really).
After years of research, we’re launching a satellite to evaluate if and how Google Tensor Processing Units (TPUs) hold up in orbit.
The test mission, as part of our latest moonshot — Project Suncatcher — is designed to gather data exploring how we can one day host machine learning infrastructure in space.

中国AIのKimiがClaudeを流用したのが流れてるが、Anthoropicのレポートを見るともっと衝撃的だった。人民解放軍関係者の可能性が高いユーザーが、監視カメラデータをKimiに読み込ませ、ある人物の行動を分析しようとしたらしい。それで、KimiはこのデータをClaudeへ転送した。結果、この監視データの画像がAnthoropicに流れてしまったとのこと。データには、成都にある数百台の監視カメラ映像が含まれ、その中には「中国電子科技集団関連研究所」「大手国有企業」のカメラも含まれていたらしい。中華AIは、まさかの軍事機密情報横流しマシンとして機能してしまった。自爆。

Nexus Mods has acquired SteamDB.
The site’s creator @thexpaw is stepping away after burning out from years of running it. He looked for a team he could hand the project over to, but never found anyone he fully trusted.
SteamDB will stay SteamDB for now, but over time, Nexus Mods will be slowly integrated in the site.

The last 20% is not a small ask.
Elon: "getting from 80 to 100, it takes about as much time as getting from 0 to 80"
It runs backwards from how people fuel a car.
Elon: "it's a little counterintuitive, because for a gasoline car you would fill it up"
Inside the battery, ions are looking for somewhere to go.
Elon: "the lithium ions are trying to find a parking space"
Elon: "when the parking lot's empty, they can zip right in there and find a spot, it's easy"

También apagó casi por completo al equipo que hacía juegos para el Apple Vision Pro y recortó al que graba los videos inmersivos, esos que cuestan millones de dólares por episodio.
Apple lo explicó así: "estamos realineando algunos equipos". Y aclaró que los despedidos pueden postularse a otros puestos dentro de la empresa.
Tuvieron la inteligencia artificial en la mano en 2010, con el mejor vendedor del planeta defendiéndola en cámara.
