ORLANDO is on the “emergency placement” list at NYC AC&C and needs out of the shelter by 12 NOON 10/27!

Diwali fireworks at Costco made me smile! Different celebrations coexisting side by side is a good thing. Sharing traditions brings people together, that's something worth celebrating 🌍❤️

6 days left, and I am breaking.💔
Sukkar has his medical checkup and vaccines this Tuesday, his special food is running out, and I still haven't secured the rent. I don't know how to handle it all at once.
Could 55 people spare $5? Or please Rt🙏🏻

🚨‼️7 days left, and every single hour counts now.
Losing this room means losing Sukkar's safety and his food. He has no one else to rely on, and I'm honestly terrified of failing him
We still need $283 for rent. Could 56 people spare $5? Or please RT🙏

Handsome tuxie boy kitty is on the ☠️ list in NYC because his owner had too many pets, so dumped him. 😿💔 He needs adoption or rescue urgently!
🆘🆘 YAN YAN (ID 266048), 4 YO, MALE – IN QUEENS ACC - came into the shelter as an owner surrender on 9/21/2026, with the surrender reason stated as not a fit - too many animals already. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿
➡️TBD 10/27/26
➡️ 🆘🆘 1ST Chance on Emergency Placement List – VERY URGENT – 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱
➡️ 35 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT
➡️ YAN YAN IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS - He is not thriving in the care center and continues to display distance-increasing behavior when approached for interactions. He has not warmed up despite staff using treats to build a positive association. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥
What my friends at ACC say about me: My friends here do not know much about me yet! I have lived with cats in my previous home. I have potential behavior challenges that staff will address with you when you meet me. I'm an independent kitty who likes to do my own thing. I am looking for a home with a patient person. I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace. I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home. I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe. I'm sensitive and shy. I'll need extra help from you. I would do best in a home with only adult humans. My favorite pastime is being visually admired! Pet me with your eyes! ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻

NEW CASE⛔️
We need to remove this cat from the street URGENTLY. She was hit by a car and suffers a terrible eye injury. She needs immediate medical attention and without donations vets are refusing to take our cases.
WE NEED URGENT URGENT donations to be able to take her case on.

Hi everyone — I just launched a fundraiser to help feed the feral cats in our rural Georgia community. As an older couple living on Social Security, it’s become harder to cover the cost of enough cat food and supplies for caring about these cats.

Though social in shelter, he has a bite/scratch history and is currently not a candidate for the Adoptions floor. He is now displaying signs of fixation on other cats and a has a history of redirected aggression. 💔😿💔😿

The second best thing you can do for an animal is sterilising them.. the first is getting them adopted from streets :)

Three cats, one sunbeam, zero disputes - that's real diplomacy! My two have never managed a shared windowsill without a standoff. Cozy scenes like this are why all the rescue work is worth it. 🐱☀️

Urgent help needed for 5 blind rescued kittens
These tiny babies were left on the street to die. No mother, no shelter, no food.
They were crying in pain with severe eye infections, and because no one helped them in time, the infection got so bad that they eventually infected.
Poor sweet boy breaks my heart! Those eyes… 😢 I hope enough people step in so he can get his urgent surgery. Pledging today! 🐾 #Pledge4Rescue
What a masterpiece! Van Gogh makes those plane trees feel so alive, you can almost feel the wind in the branches. Would love to see it in person!
#VanGogh of the Day: The Large Plane Trees (Road Menders at Saint-Rémy), October 1889. Oil on canvas, 104.5 x 124.5 cm. The Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland. Currently on view at Fondation Louis Vuitton, Paris, Oct 2026-Mar 2027.

Gaudí planned the light like nothing else in Barcelona. 🇪🇸
Go in the morning and the blue and green glass turns the whole place cool and calm, like dawn in a forest.
Go in the afternoon and the reds and oranges set the walls on fire. Same building. Completely different feeling.
And those columns? Look up. They branch like trees, and the light falls through them like sun through leaves.
That’s the trick. In La Sagrada, light is architecture too.
