A decades long 100% nonpartisan Independent, my perspective: Trump/MAGAs must be purged from government at all levels. To accomplish that Dems must win in ‘26 & ‘28. To win Democrats must set aside anything not moderate/centrist & if they win…must govern as moderate/centrists!
Just reading about Trump defending his position on Ukraine-Russia…in which he states his position is best for the US & for the world. I’d bet my mortgage paid in full house that Trump cannot explain that…that he is unable to provide a coherent, intelligible explanation.
An incredible amount of time/energy/money is being spent by people/agencies in the federal government to pursue/prosecute Trump’s perceived enemies. A major focus is on Trump’s revenge/retribution against anyone he believes “wronged him”. They have found no significant evidence!
Watched some Sunday morning shows with Trump folks being interviewed by various people asking varied questions. It was the same ‘ole, same ‘ole! Trump NEVER makes a mistake, he’s always right. Some of the verbal gymnastics used to explain/defend Trump are absolutely mind-blowing!
A decades long 100% nonpartisan INDEPENDENT I am sickened by Trump/MAGAs constant demonizing “liberals”. To be clear…I despise both extreme liberals & extreme conservatives. But most liberals are NOT extremists & are really good people, same for conservatives. STOP demonizing!

We are in the “silly season” of political ads. Most ads on TV today & for the next month+ are political ads. Both parties air ads containing blatant incorrect information. 1st Amendment aside…should media folks factcheck ads & refuse to air those with obvious false information?
A NC Court of Appeals, GOP controlled, upholds the Repub State Auditor’s new control over appointments to NC’s election boards. GOP won majority, often super majority, control over the NC Legislature ~2010. The State Auditor? Why should he make appointments to election boards?

Trump says no regulation is needed of AI…. that all the US needs is “a STRONG AND SMART (High IQ!) PRESIDENT.” With that statement Trump made the best case ever for him to resign immediately.
We are into the silliest of “silly season” for political campaigning. It happens every time, every election. What am I talking about…every campaign ad criticizes/trashes & often promotes false information about opponents…and literally nothing else!
