Solicitor Shila Keshvari talks to @MattBarbet about the record number of women being investigated over alleged illegal abortions.
She says these women must be 'decriminalised' as it is a healthcare issue - not a criminal one.

...when you consider that the 20mph limit is only for times kids go to and from school- which doesn't protect anyone at other times! This photo shows the zebra crossing outside the school: one accident destroyed the nearest section of railings, on a Shortlands Market Sunday...3/n

...in the past 5 years, according to crashmap.co.uk/, the most detailed public map of road traffic collisions. 14 accidents is a lot for a short road with a primary school & a village on it! Right now the road has a temporary 20mph limit, but that's not enough... 2/n

“It’s hard to respond to people who claim #AirPollution ‘isn’t that bad’ if there isn’t a single comprehensive website that has the data to dispute that.”

We've helped to send hundreds of postcards to Mayoral candidates calling for a #Mayor4CleanAir, with @MumsForLungs & a coalition of London groups. We need strong leadership to keep London's children healthy. #LondonElections #LondonMayor bit.ly/mayorforcleanair2024

This map shows nitrogen dioxide levels at monitoring sites in London in 2022.
Anything yellow, orange, red or dark red shows levels above the WHO guidelines....yes, that's the whole of London.

"A group of older Swiss women have won the first ever climate case victory in the European Court of Human Rights.
The court said Switzerland's efforts to meet its emission reduction targets had been woefully inadequate."

#ChocolateEgg reminder - #recycle your foil when you have a big ball of it.
This way it gets recycled, otherwise scraps blow away, fall through cracks / conveyors & get binned.
We save our milk tops & choccy egg #foil etc in a big jar till we have enough for a ball like this:
Takes two seconds. We know our bank related carbon emissions are higher than most other emissions we have.
Our banks are in a dangerous relationship with oil companies. I've just told my mine to stop financing fossil fuel expansion - will you do the same? makemymoneymatter.co.uk/

We’re building a happier, healthier South Yorkshire.
That means giving our communities more, better choices about how to travel and move, and particularly making walking safer and easier.

Getting the tune to Xmas no 1 is a small but important needle move in how mainstream culture talks about the crisis and activists.
Plus if she fails, the Daily Mail will be crowing with delight and we don't want that!
