The entire point of Game Pass is to give people access to games without having to purchase them individually. Revenue is revenue, whether it comes from direct sales or subscriptions. Judging the success of a game that headlines its own publisher’s subscription service primarily by unit sales is fundamentally missing the bigger picture.

Gears of War E-Day flopped BIG time. Yikes. The game reportedly had a 500 million dollar budget. Might be the end of The Coalition development team... Personally, I enjoyed the game and beat it in Co-Op, but the game crashed at least onece every time I played it. Not polished.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS, our exhibition, “KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS 10th ANNIVERSARY EXHIBITION BEYOND THE STRAND: The Odyssey of Creation and Endeavor,” opens tomorrow, Saturday, October 31, at Azabudai Hills Gallery and runs through Sunday, December 20. The exhibition offers a detailed look at how we make our games, covering each stage of development and the work involved in each part of the process. There’s also a VR experience that lets you virtually explore the KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS studio, as well as an AR experience that brings the world of DEATH STRANDING into the real world.
