Bohater policjant z Krakowa przed wstąpieniem do policji był żołnierzem z elitarnej jednostki.
Jak podaje poseł Andrzej Śliwka posterunkowy Jakub Kulik to były żołnierz elitarnej 6. Brygady Powietrznodesantowej w Krakowie. Niedawno zakończył służbę wojskową i wstąpił do Policji. Dzięki wojskowemu wyszkoleniu pomimo rany postrzałowej, zneutralizował zamachowca i zdołał samodzielnie udzielić sobie pomocy. Prawdziwy polski bohater.

Serious question, if the Muslims being elected today are not responsible for 9/11 then how am I as a white man responsible for slavery that happened 150 years ago.
The left can’t have it both ways on this. I’m just looking for a little consistency.

Eliminate federal long-term capital gains tax on qualifying investments held for more than one year.
Protect against abuse.
Address the fiscal consequences.
But stop treating long-term investment gains as another opportunity for government taxation.
America needs investment, entrepreneurship and productive capital.
We should be debating how to encourage those things, not simply how much tax to collect when investors succeed.
If we want Americans to build wealth, why are we taxing them when they do?

Washington has built an extraordinarily complicated tax system.
Tax credits.
Deductions.
Income thresholds.
Phaseouts.
Special exemptions.
Yet we continue taxing people when they realize long-term investment gains, including gains partly attributable to inflation.
Why not simplify the system and reward long-term capital formation?
Tax short-term speculation differently if necessary.
But someone who invests in a business, holds an asset for years and takes the risk of losing their capital should not automatically face another federal tax when that investment succeeds.
And if eliminating the tax entirely isn't politically achievable, Congress should at least seriously consider adjusting capital gains for inflation.
That would address one of the most obvious distortions in the current system.

We have all witnessed election outcomes when Republicans won, and others where Democrats won. When the Republicans win, there are usually unhinged hysteria and violence on the streets, on social media, on university campuses. Now that the Republicans were trashed by the Democrats, have you seen anyone engage in such behaviour on the Republican side?

🚨🇺🇸 WTF!!! After the Democrats swept the Midterms, left-wing influencers are now calling for "Nuremberg Trials" for Republicans.

What If We Eliminated Long-Term Capital Gains Tax?
Imagine a tax system where qualifying investments held for more than one year could be sold without federal capital gains tax.
Investors could move capital without triggering that tax penalty.
Entrepreneurs could sell successful investments and reinvest their proceeds.
Long-term investors could make decisions based more on economic opportunity and less on tax consequences.
And people building wealth through stocks, crypto and business ownership would have a stronger incentive to invest for the long term.
Would eliminating the tax automatically guarantee economic growth?
No.
It would come with significant fiscal costs and distributional consequences that Congress would need to address.
But the potential benefits deserve serious consideration.

Quick question to all those who posited that @realDonaldTrump was a dictator who would end democracy, including nearly all of my academic colleagues. Does the drubbing that the Republicans experienced last night via the democratic process suggest that you were right that he is a dictator or were you wrong to make this claim? Did he kill democracy or did he allow it to express itself?

It's embarrassing watching Americans who think they won but have just broken their government to spite one man. Shallow thinking at its finest.
What these midterms simply mean is that the people who hate borders are back in Washington. The people who sympathize with terrorists and jihadists are back.
Every anti-American who wishes death on America is having a wild celebration today.
This is not a Donald Trump loss; it is a catastrophic loss for the USA.
Uninformed people are a crazy, shallow-minded bunch. Trump Derangement Syndrome is so clear.
They are celebrating, but none of them can actually comprehend what Trump wanted to achieve for the USA.
It is understandable for Islamists and foreign enemies who hate America to cheer this on, but it is pure foolishness for Americans. Trump is the lifeline of the USA.
Trump remains President, but he is walking into a complete trap with a hostile Congress. He cannot pass a single law or bill because the opposition will block everything out of pure spite.
His hands are tied on appointing judges and cabinet officials because the Senate will block his picks, and he won't be able to close big foreign trade deals or secure funding because he needs their approval for everything.
An electorate voted to paralyze its own country just to stick it to one guy. Peak emotional instability.

Capital Gains Tax Creates an Incentive Not to Sell
There's another economic problem that rarely gets enough attention.
The lock-in effect.
When investors have substantial unrealized gains, selling creates an immediate tax liability.
So they hold.
Not necessarily because the investment remains their best opportunity.
But because selling triggers a tax bill.
That can keep capital tied up in older investments instead of moving into startups, businesses and new opportunities.
Consider a crypto investor who wants to exit a position and reinvest in a promising American company.
Or a shareholder who wants to sell appreciated stock to fund a new business.
The decision isn't simply about where their money could create the most value.
They also have to consider how much of their accumulated gain will be lost to taxes.
Tax policy shouldn't be a reason productive capital stays trapped.

I'm sorry but any right-winger telling you to vote Democrat to stick it to the Republicans is a fucking idiot who has no sense of the world.
Leave America for a bit and see the state of the right-wing outside of America.
In England they're arresting people every single day for right-wing speech and activism.
In France they banned Marine Le Pen from running for president while she was leading the polls on a bogus excuse. They just banned Martin Sellner from entering the country for literally no reason & shut down conferences on Remigration.
In Romania they annulled an entire presidential election because the wrong candidate won the first round, then barred him from running again.
In Germany the government's domestic intelligence agency labeled the AfD "extremist," one of the country's biggest parties and literally have active spies in their party.
In Brazil they convicted Jair Bolsonaro for doing NOthing and ordered his son, a sitting Senator, to surrender his passports. He had to flee to Miami.
In Poland, police took over the constitutional court and government-backed judges are now running it. The president calls it a coup.
That's what the Left does when it has power and nobody stops it.
The Republican Party is the only thing standing between you and that. They’re imperfect. They don’t always get the job done, but voting for the Left is NEVER the answer.

Why America Should Eliminate Long-Term Capital Gains Tax
Why does the government tax you on wealth you haven't necessarily gained in real terms?
It's a question Washington should be asking. America encourages people to save, invest, build businesses and take financial risks.
Then, when those investments succeed, the government taxes the gains.
And here's the part that deserves more attention.
Not all capital gains represent real wealth creation.
We're Taxing Inflation, Not Just Profits
Imagine you invest $100,000.
Ten years later, your investment is worth $150,000.
The IRS sees a $50,000 capital gain.
But suppose cumulative inflation over those ten years was 30%.
You would need $130,000 just to maintain the purchasing power of your original investment.
Your real gain is closer to $20,000.
Yet capital gains tax generally applies to the full $50,000 nominal gain.
The government is effectively taxing part of the inflation-driven increase in the asset's price.
You haven't gained $50,000 in purchasing power.
But you're being taxed as though you have.
How is that a fair measure of investment success?
