Was pleased to receive the Ambassador of the State of Palestine, H.E. Mr. Eleyan Keswani, at the UN House. We discussed the upcoming 2026 Intl' Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People & reflected on the importance of solidarity, dialogue and our shared commitment to peace.
As I conclude my assignment in Zambia, I was honoured to meet Her Honour the Vice President, Mrs. W.K. Mutale Nalumango, for a farewell courtesy call. Zambia has been more than a duty station, it has been a home. Thank you for the warmth, partnership and memories. 🇿🇲
Today, together with members of the UN Country Team, I engaged with journalists as we shared 2025 results of our work as One UN in Zambia. Was also my opportunity to say goodbye to these dedicated professionals who help us tell stories of hope, resilience, and progress every day.
Honored to witness political parties sign Peace Pledge, facilitated by Zambia’s Church Mother Bodies, ahead of 13 August elections. Let this step reflect in actions before, during, & after the polls. Peace is bedrock of democracy & the foundation of free and credible elections.🇿🇲
