As per usual, MP Rupert Lowe is talking sense. If only every politician thought like he did!
Regardless of political party, politicians need to work together to do what is best for the British people.
As an activist, I’ve done exactly the same. I’ve worked with, or offered to work with, politicians from all political parties. Through that approach, I’ve helped introduce policy and law changes, as well as secure millions in funding for rape victims.
I’ve been heavily criticised for doing so, but I don’t care. It worked.
The country and its people must always come first.

The POS Vickrum Digwa, who was serving a minimum of 21 years for murdering Henry Nowak with a large dagger, appealed his minimum jail term, calling "manifestly excessive".
The judge upped it instead to 25 today.
Now try the police who ignored Henry as he died handcuffed, calling him a "liar" as he bled out, and deport the rest of the Digwas!

Two men on a public bus in Grangemouth allegedly walked up to a woman and asked to buy her 2-year-old niece.
Not a joke. Not a misunderstanding. They tried to purchase a toddler.
These people need deporting!

Luckily there’s a woman with my sister going to the same place she’s going to and is aware of what was said!
One man walked into Asda while the other walked in the direction of hot kebabs.

🔴 VIOLENT THUG — Shaquel Kerr, 30, has been found guilty of attempted murder after repeatedly striking his partner in the head with a claw hammer at an address in Nottinghamshire. The victim suffered a brain bleed and multiple fractures to her skull, face and spine, leaving her with life-threatening injuries. He admitted wounding with intent but denied attempted murder. A jury found him guilty regardless.

Mohammed Ajmal, 26, has been jailed for five years after grooming a 14-year-old girl through Snapchat before sexually assaulting her on two occasions in Merseyside.
Ajmal was 22 when he made contact with the girl through Snapchat before arranging to collect her from Nocturum in Wirral. He drove her to a flat in Widnes, where he sexually assaulted her, before taking her to Birkenhead later that same evening, where he assaulted her again.
Earlier this month, Ajmal appeared at Liverpool Crown Court and was found guilty after a three-day trial of two counts of sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 15 and one count of engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 15.
On Thursday, 5 November, Ajmal, of Mossley Hill Drive, Sefton Park, was jailed for five years. He was also placed on the Sex Offenders Register indefinitely and given a Sexual Harm Prevention Order lasting 10 years after his release.
Detective Chief Superintendent Paul Lamb said he hoped the sentence would bring some comfort to the victim, praising her courage in coming forward. He said Merseyside Police remained committed to protecting children from sexual abuse and urged anyone affected, or concerned about a child, to report it to police.

What are people with cancer, heart stents, B12 deficiency and those who don't want an increased risk of cancer meant to do?
@Waitrose has closed the door on a customer trying to avoid synthetic folic acid.
After weeks of correspondence (Case 19308882) they wrote:
“Please refer to my email on 20/10, where I advised that we are unable to assist you further on this matter, as all available information has already been shared. Please note that while any further correspondence will be logged on your file, it may not be responded to.”
One slice of fortified bread is fine. Ordinary daily intake of bread + cereal + pie/pastry + biscuits easily exceeds 300–450 μg — well over the 200 μg level previously advised for over-50s because of B12-masking risk.
A substantial part of Waitrose’s core customer base is over 50. They have no system to identify folic-acid-free products and no plan to warn customers about cumulative exposure.
@ClareCraigPath has highlighted the issues with unmetabolised folic acid and the limits of the safety data. Retailers following the mandate still have a duty to consider cumulative effects under the Food Safety Act.
