Bullish for Paraguay 🇵🇾 and Uruguay 🇺🇾.
Brazilians will be voting with their feet by leaving to neighboring countries with more economic freedom.

Crazy how few ppl can shoot a basketball these days.
Get a group of 10 nomads/expats together and you're lucky if 1 or 2 can shoot the ball.
Expect immigration to get WAY more strict in the future.
It couldn't get LESS strict.
Marriage visas and citizenship by marriage will get far, far stricter, for example.

Every American and Canadian should have SOMETHING going on in Latin America.
SOMETHING going on in another country in the Americas.
This is our continent(s)!!

The story of Porfirio Rubirosa,
the infamous Dominican diplomat, race car driver, soldier & polo player whom James Bond is said to be based on:
Maybe the best way to optimize for tax is just to double your income.
100k zero tax is the same as 200k at 50% tax?
The issue in 50% tax countries is less so the tax, moreso the compliance burden
Anybody ever figure out why Latinos REFUSE to use headphones ever?
Why are they always listening to nonsense on speakerphone in public?
Still haven't figured it out.
Comment your best theory below 🤣
Yeah obviously if you stay in San Francisco youre going to become much wealthier than being 100% remote.
Thats nothing new.
Thats the tradeoff.
San Francisco or remote, those are the options.
But if your version of staying in the USA is Tampa or Denver or some "mid market" city, you're not in the beating heart of the economy anyway.
Be REALLY close to the action, or lifestyle maxx. No in between.
Theres still time to get your LIFETIME Mexico driver's license.
Only 2 months left.
Huge shoutout to @MyLatinLife for helping me score a LIFETIME Mexican driver’s license. No expiration date. Digital version included. Beautiful.
Monday, 9AM in Mexico City. License in hand 20 minutes later. Back at my San Diego office that afternoon.

Europe is getting poorer, the Americas are getting richer.
I'm noticing the growing possibility that Europe becomes very poor in the course of the next 10-20 years. You have the following factors:
- Heavy industry totally uncompetitive against China, automakers etc. rapidly losing ground
- Services industry totally uncompetitive against AI
- No natural resources, or regulatory hurdles making their extraction impossible
- No access to the new economy (no AI, no data centers, uncompetitive energy sector)
- Client states caught in one-way welfare ratchets, spend reallocation + investment well-nigh impossible
This seems under-contemplated. And we're talking really, seriously dirt poor: taken to its logical conclusion, many countries will have much, much smaller services and manufacturing industries -- economies may become much more heavily skewed toward natural resources and energy markets, where Europe has made it impossible for itself to compete.
And I'm not saying that this is likely to happen, it's an extreme case. But the probability is greater than zero and appears to be growing. The EV of that is so negative that it's surprising to me that it's not coming up more.
