This disease took my speech fluency away. It gave me aphasia. It gave me word-finding problems. It gave me a loss of muscle control that progressively worsens as I go through the day.
I see a lot of people speaking for me, and they are NOT saying the right things.
You see, I can still think clearly in the wee morning hours when most of the world is asleep. But it is a lonely place to be. There is nobody to talk to during the brief window when my speech, fluency, muscle control, and word-finding are at their best.
I come online hoping to see progress. Instead, what I mostly see from people who have the great blessing of being able to verbalize compassion and logic is hate, division, and people locked uncompassionately into their own mindsets. Calling patients names for asking questions or voicing serious concerns. Watching people who don't understand this disease fire off their mouths constantly in an ignorant manner.
I doubt most of us among the millions of Long COVID and vaccine-injured patients stand a fair shot right now. Most families don't have the luxury to sell off everything they own to fly across the world for unproven treatments that aren't guaranteed, treatments that would leave our children and families homeless.
We don't need infighting, name-calling, or expensive mirages. We need real, accessible, pathology-driven science, and we need people to stop speaking over those of us who are fighting this in the dark.
Patients deserve a real understanding of their disease. They are often confused and terrified by what is happening to their bodies. That is my blessing and my curse. Because of my background, I may not understand everything, but I understand a lot. I just no longer have the verbal skill to explain it on demand.
Instead, I am expected to sit quietly on the sidelines while people who don't understand the science become the self-appointed mouthpieces explaining this disease to vulnerable patients.
It feels gross. It feels like being at the mercy of people who lack the fundamental skills to help.
If you took your car to a mechanic and found a house painter working on your engine, wouldn't you be furious? Your carburator would still be broken and your car would have a fresh primer coat.
That is exactly what is happening with this disease.
Unqualified people who don't understand the underlying pathology are writing protocols, creating content, and teaching others based on a flawed foundation.
It is not good enough. Patients deserve better.

🚨Joey Douglas Dunaway, of Jayess, Mississippi, has been sentenced to 40 years in prison, with the possibility of parole after 8 years, for possession of child s*xual abuse material.
Dunaway was also ordered to serve five years of supervised probation followed by 27 years of unsupervised probation after his release. He must register as a s*x offender and pay $1,000 each to the Mississippi Children’s Trust Fund, the Mississippi Crime Victim Compensation Fund and the Victims of Human Trafficking and Commercial S*xual Exploitation Fund.
Dunaway’s Facebook page was filled with Confederate imagery which is closely associated with white supremacy and far-right politics.

🚨BREAKING: The woman punched in the face at Trump’s Youngstown rally has filed a report seeking to press charges, and the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office is now investigating three men.
The woman was wearing a “Release the Epstein Files” shirt when she started shouting during the Oct. 12 rally at the Covelli Centre. Videos show three Trump supporters going after her, and at least one punched her in the face and pulled her hair, The Vindicator reports. Others can be seen restraining her as she was attacked. Deputies removed her. The Trump supporters were permitted to stay.
Trump stopped speaking, then said: “He’s a paid protester. They’re all paid.” He misidentified her gender and made fun of her weight. No evidence has been offered that she was paid. According to Newsweek, she told The New York Times that no organization coordinated or financed her appearance and (surprise) ordinary citizens can want powerful p*dophiles held accountable.
No arrests were made that night. Sheriff Jerry Greene said deputies didn’t see the assault and she hadn’t filed a report. His office then found her through social media and her if she would like to press charges. She said yes. As of Oct. 21, the sheriff said he’d identified three men, two from the area and one from New Jersey. The two area men want lawyers present for their interviews.
Separately, a man named Russell Dickert bragged that he and “a friend” named Gary his son Clint “subdued her and threw her to the concrete.” Dickert’s LinkedIn, located by Reich-Wing Watch, happened to list his residence in New Jersey. Police haven’t disclosed the identify of the three suspects they identified.
Prosecutor Lynn Maro said her office’s information indicates a misdemeanor assault, though Greene said the woman’s injuries could change that.
The woman has been identified as Blake Miley, 29. She’s represented by civil rights attorney Subodh Chandra. Whether to charge anyone is up to prosecutors.

There are strong claims that ICE has been detaining an American citizen who was born in Florida. Phillip James, 39, has been detained for at least 10 months. He's currently in Indiana facing deportation to Jamaica.
Public records, court documents (including a 1988 paternity case), his mother's testimony, and a valid US passport held for 15 years confirm that he was born in Florida and is an American citizen.
Medical experts who evaluated him said that he suffers from paranoid schizophrenia and that his claims of being born in Jamaica (along with other claims like being foreign royalty) are psychiatric delusions.
Nevertheless, DHS denies his citizenship and initiated deportation proceedings based on his own delusional statements, with no external evidence indicating he was born in Jamaica or holds Jamaican citizenship.
To reiterate: his direct family, official US documents, AND the medical experts who evaluated him are all saying that Phillip James is a Florida-born man who is suffering from schizophrenic delusions... but DHS disagrees.

All 3 of them were able to commit despicable acts, and get out relatively quickly.
