MJ fans believe that MJ and Lebron had the same injury luck.
LeBron had WAY MORE teammate injuries, and it’s ignored in the GOAT debate.
MJ went 2-7 in CF and Finals when a starter played 13 minutes or less. Think he gets 6 titles with his top scorers missing 20% of his games?
In the last couple games, Lebron cleared a combined 73,485 minutes across playoffs and regular season games.
That’s 25,000 more minutes than Jordan played.
The equivalent of Kawhi’s entire regular season career.
What’s the narrative? Oh yeah…Jordan worked harder.
🤦♂️
I was told Scottie Pippen had to be “made” by MJ, and wasn’t even good in 1988.
Here’s the LA Times on November 3, 1987:
“Then there is Pippen’s growing stature as a star of the future and possible equal.”
Equal to JORDAN.
A week into his career.
When do the lies stop?
Bronny James makes the Laker squad and, of course, gets the following from Laker fans, per Twitter:
They don’t have the “guts” to cut him
Bronny is toxic
Bronny is the worst draft pick ever (only Laker draft pick in the last 10 yrs with the team)
Stay classy, Kobe fans.
MJ fans believe Jordan’s Finals appearances make him the GOAT over LeBron.
Meanwhile, MJ had better teams and weaker opponents, which shows in the fact his odds to win were 4 points higher, on average.
Once again, MJ has a lower bar to clear, one that’s treated as equal.
This should disqualify Jordan from being the GOAT, right?
A one-time champion head coach was the “biggest star” in Chicago.
Doesn’t this undo all the “Jordan had the biggest aura” arguments?
Imagine if people said LeBron was a lesser star than Sean McVay.
"He was larger than life. ... Michael Jordan was a global icon and certainly beloved in Chicago, but Mike Ditka was the biggest star in Chicago sports."
@Espngreeny explains how much of an impact Mike Ditka had on the city of Chicago 🙌

Larry Bird gets a free pass for his “chokes.”
He lost game 7 in 1982 vs the Sixers.
Here’s what Dick Stockton said on the broadcast before it started. Nobody thought Boston would lose.
This is how Bird is treated hypothetically. He’d always win.
Reality was different.
I was told all Michael Jordan cared about winning.
Winning, winning, winning.
Except, of course, when Michael Jordan actually said “winning isn’t always about championships.”
Can you imagine if LeBron said this? It’d be referenced on Twitter every hour for 30 years.
As you watch LeBron play his 24th preseason…compare his competitiveness to Jordan.
Do you remember when the “greatest competitor ever” who “loved basketball” said he wasn’t going to training camp because he was too tired?
I thought athletes in their prime didn’t get tired?
In 1990, when Michael Jordan was losing to the Pistons, he had an All Star on his team in Pippen.
The media treated the Bulls as though the were still just MJ.
Here’s a game Pippen scored TWENTY NINE points as an All Star, and the coverage calls Chicago a “one man show.”
Michael Jordan could lose prior to 1991 and get no blame for it.
He was “young,” so he was allowed to get better all the way until age 28.
Jordan even SAID he was still getting better.
Meanwhile, LeBron is disqualified at age 26. Not allowed to get better after 2011.
A gentle reminder that the guy who cared the MOST about his stats and image was MICHAEL JORDAN.
He’s also an investor in DraftKings. xitter.cf/cpeniv/status/16133160…
Michael Jordan:
“If I were to play today... I can’t worry about what people are betting on. I can’t worry about what the stats are. I never worry about the stats. All I care about is the end of the game... If we win, I couldn’t care less who won the bet, who didn’t win the bet. I know I won the game. Ultimately, that’s all that I even focused on... Today, you’ve got to build a brand... That takes away from the team aspect... I don’t envy that. I’m glad I was born at the time that I was born.”

MJ fans laugh at Pippen for not winning in 1994, with a team that won at a 58 win pace when he played. They say that team could “never win,” and was never a threat.
Meanwhile, the 2011 Miami Heat won that same 58 games. THAT team not winning is “the greatest collapse ever.”
🤔
