A major leap for aviation!
During the #AirspaceWorld conference and exhibition, the contract for the Runway Throughput Enhancement & Spacing System (RTESS) project was officially signed by the CEO of #SANS, Eng. Abdulaziz Al-Zaid, and the CEO of @NATS, Mr. Martin Rolfe, marking a significant milestone in advancing operational efficiency and fostering international collaboration in the air navigation sector.
Through this project, SANS will implement the Intelligent Approach system at Riyadh, Jeddah, and Madinah airports, making Saudi Arabia the first country in the Middle East to adopt this cutting-edge arrival management technology. The system will enhance runway capacity, streamline operational flow, and reduce carbon emissions.
SANS remains committed to driving innovation, efficiency, and sustainability across Saudi airspace.
