Robinhood CEO backs AI data startup Dataline in $10.6M seed Dataline scores crypto data for AI agents on how reliable, recent and consistent it is. It now has a seed round behind that idea, and a public token sale still ahead. Co-founder Nuo Shi, quoted by The Block: "a stablecoin priced at $0.97 could be a bargain or the start of a depeg" From @DatalineAI's own post on 21 Oct and its site: • About 50 data sources live • Hyperliquid, Polymarket and Kalshi among the venues it covers • The public sale is planned on Uniswap's auction system The seed closed in April 2026 and was announced Wed 21 Oct 2026, per The Block, on a SAFE with a token warrant. • Samsung-backed Dispersion Capital and Lattice co-led • Symbolic Capital, @cbventures and Anagram took part • So did Robinhood co-founder and CEO Vlad Tenev The company was called Tearline until May 2026, per Dealroom, so the round had closed before the name changed. 6 months between closing a round and announcing it is a long quiet. Polychain leads Multiliquid seed, total funding now $8M Tokenized funds from Wellington Management and VanEck already swap on @multiliquid_xyz. Will Beeson, founder and CEO: "Tokenization only matters if the assets are actually liquid." Where it stands: • More than $20M in live liquidity, per Multiliquid • On Ethereum since Dec 2025, Solana since Feb 2026 • 5 employees as of Oct 15, per The Block • No token, and no valuation disclosed The seed was disclosed on Oct 15 and @polychain led it. • Circle Ventures, CMT Digital, Metalayer Ventures, Generative Ventures and Strobe Ventures joined • $8M is the total, a 2025 pre-seed included Before this, Beeson was Chief Product Officer at Standard Chartered's tokenization platform. That platform put the Wellington ULTRA treasury fund on chain. ULTRA is on Multiliquid's swap list today. Olaf Carlson-Wee, who founded Polychain: "liquidity remains the bottleneck." Beeson helped move those funds on chain. Now he charges basis points to swap holders out of them. The liquidity layer was always the better business... Perps teams take $40.5M of $48.2M disclosed DeFi funding 7 of the 15 DeFi rounds announced from Jul 21 to Oct 19 went to perps teams. That is 7 newly funded perps teams for a market maker, auditor or listings desk to pitch. The biggest round went to new markets. @entropyIO raised $14M on Aug 24, led by @RibbitCapital to list perps on pre-IPO shares like Anthropic, plus equities and commodities, on Hyperliquid. The other perps rounds: • Vest Exchange: $13M seed, Portal Ventures led (Oct 7) • Antarctic: $7M (Sep 7) • PERPTools: $5M seed (Oct 1) • Imperial: $1.5M seed, Foundation Capital led (Oct 6) • HertzFlow and XStable did not disclose Across all 15 rounds, at least $48.2M was disclosed. Lending, yield and a prediction market shared the rest, at least $7.7M. Only 7 rounds named a lead, 8 firms in all, and none led twice. 2Square backed 3 of the 15, more than any other firm, and none of them perps. The money is following new things to trade. Stocks, FX and pre-IPO shares on a perps exchange look like the next fight... All 15 rounds, who led each, and the teams behind them, in the DeFi funding report on NAUT: naut.so/articles/defi-fundin…
