This was the @andyburnham I supported for Leader way back in 2015 when I was still a member of Labour. Just wish he had stuck to the principles he had when he made this speech. Opening the free movement issue again is just madness and I think he will live to regret it.
There is nothing socialist about a system of free movement that is used by multi-nationals to undermine wages. WATCH my Brexit speech today.

I’m sure this is more amusing than anything @JonathanPieNews has in his so called comedy routine.
Last week I did an interview for ITV, promoting my new live show. In the interview I say that Rupert Lowe has his legal bills paid for by Elon Musk. Rupert Lowe has contacted me to point out that that isn’t the case. Happy to set the record straight and apologise for the error.

France is in flames (yet he wants to rejoin the EU). Trump is selling out Ukraine, cosying up to Putin again A cost-of-living crunch is looming this winter, especially fuel bills. He still hasn’t told us how or when defence spending will reach 3% GDP. Inflation is rising once more, as are interest rates. Russian forces are threatening our infrastructure, especially undersea data and energy links. The Strait of Hormuz remains closed, our Gulf allies are under attack. And PM Burnham drivels about this!! It’s like the opening sketch from Saturday Night Live.
TikTok star Andy Burnham is back on TikTok displaying all his talents as an overblown local councillor, addressing the serious situation in Europe and how to stop the boats. Only kidding. He's talking about how to be good boys and girls on public transport. On TikTok 🤓👍

Completely heartbreaking. What must Najmeh and so many thousands of innocent Iranian kids like her be thinking about the total lack of interest among the social justice warriors and pontificating celebrities in the west. Or when they see all those feeble minded westerners plodding along on mass marches surrounded by the very flag of their oppressors. It’s just so shameful and pathetic
Hello everyone, this is a message from inside prison, from a young Iranian woman who is about to be executed. Please help me to amplify her voice before they hang her. 💔 «Remember my name, maybe I will not be able to speak again.» This is the voice of Najmeh Amini, a 23 year old accounting student, speaking from Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad. In her voice message she says: «Be my voice. I am an innocent girl, a young woman full of hopes and dreams.» Najmeh is one of the detainees of the January uprising . She spent months in detention without a verdict, denied access to a lawyer of her choice and pressured during interrogation. In August, her trial was held at the Revolutionary Court of Mashhad on charges of «assembly and collusion» and «insulting sacred values.» She said in her voice message that her death sentence was issued on September 16, 2026. In her own words: «People, I only want justice and the chance to defend myself.» And this is her dream: «Before the rope ends my life, let me see my Iran prosperous and free.» Be her voice and all of political prisoners, especially those at risk of execution. #NajmehAmini #StopExecutionsInIran

It turns out Burnham occasionally spouts his mouth off then someone who actually knows the facts has to explain it’s not the case after all. If I was him, I’d get on and call an election before everyone wakes up and he gets properly found out.
So there we have it. Foreign Office Minister, Stephen Doughty, confirms that Russian interference claim by Andy Burnham was a lie. Is this the same Andy Burnham who is against misinformation being spread online? I believe so.

My vote on Brexit was affected by disinformation. I voted Remain because I was told if Leave won there would be terrible consequences. The BoE Governor told me he would raise interest rates - he lowered them. The Chancellor said he'd have an emergency budget - he didn't. The Treasury said unemployment would go up - it went down. Goldman Sachs and others said they would pull out of Britain - they spent billions on new HQs The Chief Executive of the NHS Alliance said there would be an epidemic of super-gonorrhoea. As for foreign interference - The EU, the US and Irish Presidents etc etc all weighed in on the side of Remain.

Does anyone remember before the election, when Labour promised they would be careful with our money? They promised us they had fiscal rules. They promised no return to huge borrowing. They promised our kids wouldn't inherit this huge debt. Let's see how that's going...

In just a few months, Labour has delivered major wins for its union donors: easier strike action and inflation busting, unconditional pay rises for rail workers. Now, after trying to postpone elections it feared losing, Labour wants to rewrite donation rules retrospectively to hobble its opponents Labour takes the money, changes the rules for its own donors (it has plenty of form on it) then with a straight face, bleats about democracy being bought.
"We need to make sure our democracy can't be bought." Unite's general secretary Sharon Graham tells @JonCraig it is "wrong" that two crypto billionaires have donated a combined £72m to Reform UK - and defends her union's past donations to Labour. Latest: trib.al/rEpKXPZ

This is spot on. The failure to stand up to Asad - for which Miliband bears much guilt - led directly to Putin’s first invasion of Ukraine. An appalling choice for foreign secretary. The Kremlin will be delighted. telegraph.co.uk/politics/202…

Aren’t you the minister for safeguarding women against violence? And you have to apologise for what you tweeted after a fellow female politician was violently murdered? Isn’t that a resigning matter?
Apologies for offence caused by my earlier tweet, which I’ve now deleted. My thoughts are - as they have always been - with Ann Widdecombe’s loved ones at this awful time.

Despite being a political journalist often giving his solidly dull views on TV, Steve Richards still tweeted support for Burnham not answering media questions after his “ big” speech. I presume Mr Richards odd support is because didn’t want to damage the chances of the FOUR members of his family who will be looking for preferment when the Nob of the North moves to No.10. Son Jake is Justice Minister. Daughter Amy is a Starmer spad. Daughter-in-law Liz Bates ( Steve Reed spad) and married to Jake. Son-in-law Gregor Poynton ( assistant whip) married to Amy. That’s the way it works. These pundits should disclose their conflicts.
