House Speaker Hon. (Dr.) Moses Wetang’ula (@HonWetangula) directs the Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Education Hon. Julius Melly (@HonJKMelly) to address concerns by members of the public and teachers on Junior Secondary Schools being domiciled in Primary School premises.
Speaker Wetang’ula has expressed concern with the fact that Primary schools do not have the capacity or personnel to handle public resources, and challenged the Chairperson Hon. Melly to work with the Ministry of Education (@EduMinKenya) to ensure that the most critical aspects of JSS are handled by qualified personnel.
Among the Speaker’s fears is the possible misappropriation of Capitation funds which he says are currently being sent to Primary Schools.
