Progressives traditionally support diplomacy and oppose enriching the military industrial complex.
When it comes to the Ukraine proxy war, Bernie, listening to people with poor track records and careerist drives, has discarded that tradition.
It has been self-sabotaging in more ways than one: not just ceding Trump the anti-war lane, which helped MAGA win two presidential elections, but propping up a Russia demonization effort that has been directly wielded against Bernie’s campaign itself.
More than any US politician, Bernie has done so much for the progressive cause. But also more than anyone, on this issue he disgraces it. This is why progressive proxy warriors who push this agenda never want to debate it.

I think Putin doesn't just want the four oblasts and I think he doesn't just want a neutral Ukraine, he wants a neutered Ukraine.
He wants a peace outcome, peace in quotes, that will allow him ultimately to render Ukraine essentially a non-viable entity.
I think he needs to be denied that goal because I do think it is in the American national interest ... to ensure that this kind of aggression cannot ultimately succeed.

Once again, Trump says the silent part out loud: The US's attack on the ICC is not to defend Trump or American soldiers, but to defend Netanyahu and Israeli officials accused of war crimes.
