As a resident training to be a Dermatologist, this hits a little too close to home. DEI efforts have been integral in allowing me to achieve my dream of matching into Dermatology, a specialty extremely lacking in diversity. We have to push back on this. DEI matters!

Does everyone expect doctors to be old and decrepit? Because the number of times I’ve gotten, “You’re a doc? You look so young!” is getting outta hand 😂

I’ve never been an afternoon coffee girl. I only drink it in the morning and I’m good for the day. But I think I might have to change that because ICU is running me ragged and I’m so tired midday 😭

My favorite patients have been my Spanish-speaking patients. They will continue to tell me my Spanish is great when I know it’s muy mal 🥲

The amount of money (that I do not have) that I’m about to spend on Amazon Prime day deals is not okay. But I can’t just walk away from a sea of good deals 🥹

Had my first intern night call and it was…horrible. I had ordered some black out curtains to help me sleep after shifts, but hadn’t had the time to set them up. I just came home from the shift and my bf put them up while I was at work. I literally cried. I have a keeper 🥹

Adjusting to being a new intern is rough, but I’m so happy and blessed to be here. I just hope this feeling lasts 😂

It’s been a looooooooong time coming. Can’t believe it’s finally here! Dr. Syder is in the building. First day, let’s go!!! 🎉
