Despite India's obligations under the UN Genocide Convention 1948, what are the roadblocks in delivery of justice to genocide victim and survivor Kashmiri Pandits? What is Indian state's official stand and what needs to change?

Yes, Farooq Ahmed Dar / Bitta Karate, SAS Geelani, Yasin Malik, Burhan Wani, and all the mujjahiddins were Kashmiri Pandits, right?. Sure. How do you guys come up with such garbage? Don't even fall under the notion that you guys will not pay the price. Don't be so delusional.

Iltija, you fancy a successful political career for you. It doesn’t suit you to pick up ‘news’ from X or screaming headlines. This person was arrested on the charge of ‘amplification’ of threats that already existed in the public domain. There is no UAPA slapped as per my information only 66F. Let this case be resolved in the courts. Will you delete this tweet and apologize when the truth comes out?
Earlier this year when death threats were issued against Kashmiri pandits, Godi media happily insinuated & pointed the needle of suspicion towards Kashmiri Muslims.
Today we have discovered Rakesh Handoo a Kashmiri Pandit himself allegedly circulated death threats to his fellow Kashmiri Pandits.
But there won’t ever be a single apology for stereotyping Kashmiri Muslims painting them as pro- terror because this venomous narrative fuels BJP & helps Godi media grab eyeballs.

Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir: On NC President Farooq Abdullah's statement regarding Jammu and Kashmir, Tito Ganju, President, Panun Kashmir says, ''In our view, this violates Section 152 of our penal code (BNSS). We believe it fulfills all the ingredients of that section, and it should be investigated. It is a cognizable offense, and an FIR must be lodged. Because if you look right now, Operation Sindoor has not been called off. During such a period, you are providing cover fire to Pakistan, threatening the integrity and unity of India, and inciting people to take to the streets. What does he mean by that? All three of these are illegal statements that frame a cognizable offense..''

J&K: Colony built for Kashmiri Pandits becoming dangerous to live in, say residents.
Residents of Jagti Colony, the largest settlement of displaced Kashmiri Pandits in Jammu, say they are forced to switch off electricity during the rainy season because of the risk of electric shocks.
Jagti Colony was established for Kashmiri Pandits who migrated from the Kashmir Valley in 1990.
Around 4,200 dwellings were constructed by the government in 2010, but residents say the buildings have deteriorated over the past 16 years due to inadequate maintenance.
Residents of Block 42 say rainwater seeps through roofs and walls, leaving electrical points wet and creating a serious safety risk.
Advocate Vishav Ranjan Pandita, a resident of Jagti Colony, said the settlement has around 5,000 families living there.
Pandita claimed several tenders worth crores of rupees have been issued over the past 16 years for repair and maintenance of the quarters, but little work is visible on the ground.
Ramesh Raina, a resident of the colony, told PTI that his wife suffered an electric shock last year while trying to switch on an appliance during the rains and narrowly escaped.
Another resident, Sanjay, said said his quarter was last repaired in 2017 and has not received any major maintenance since then.
Residents are demanding urgent repairs, proper drainage and electrical safety measures, saying the it was becomin particularly dangerous to live in Jagti during the monsoon.

Doctors turning terrorists is not shocking but in fact more dangerous.
Let me tell you a story. In early 90’s There used to be a renowned cardio thoracic surgeon in Kashmir, well known and well respected for his expertise. His name was Dr. Abdul Ahad Guru. Dr Guru was the first Kashmiri Muslim Doctor who performed open heart surgery in Kashmir. His efforts in making Soura medical institute well established heath centre was well known in those days. But all this was his side gig. His main job was being chief ideologue of Jammu & Kashmir liberation front. (JKLF). When Pakistan decided they could no longer rely on Kashmiri terrorists to destroy Kashmir and needed their own Punjabi and Pashtun terrorists in Kashmir they cultivated Hizbul Mujahideen and Jaish e Mohammad and so on and so forth. In April 1993 Hizbul terrorists kidnapped Dr. Guru and shot him dead because his services as a terrorist were no longer required. So those of you who are wondering - How can a doctor be a terrorist? Well we have seen it all .. Doctors turning terrorists is not new in Kashmir.

Not a review of Baramulla:
For years I wondered what would be the best genre to tell our story on screen most effectively. What should be the cinematic language that can be used to show a continual Genocide on screen? What can be both subtle and effective? What can be both truthful and healing? How can you show the horror of Genocide and resilience of survivors? How can you show the unvarnished truth without relying on ‘balancing’ for the sake of balancing. I think #Baramulla has finally checked all these boxes. There couldn’t be a better genre than horror and paranormal activity to depict our story. After all what has happened to Hindus of Kashmir over last 700 years does seem like a horror and paranormal activity to any outsider. Almost unbelievable. ‘Who gets killed in their own homes?’ ‘Why did you not fight back?’ ‘Are you cowards because you left your homes of 5000 years?’ And my favorite - ‘You don’t look like refugees and genocide victims, it is hard to believe this happened to you’. Never mind those who ask these questions have no understanding of what a genocide truly is and have never met a true genocide victim.
Kashmir known for its breathtaking beauty and tulip gardens as depicted in numerous Hindi films of yore hides a deep secret in its bosom. The white Tulip in the film Baramulla is not a symbol of beauty. It spells doom, it looks unusual and out of place. @AdityaSJambhale’s Kashmir is not pretty. It is dark, gloomy, foreboding and it is a place where children disappear and old creaky homes are infested by ghosts. Walls scream ‘kafir’ in red- perhaps wanting to ask ‘what happened to infidels’? This sign is immediately erased but the hands that erase it are themselves colored in red- color of blood. How do you erase ‘kafirs’ without becoming part of erasure yourselves? How do you live in Kafir homes without becoming party to guilt yourself? How do you solve crime in a land where primal crime remains unsolved and unresolved?
Baramulla will sear you. It will torture you and it will unsettle you. And if you are a Kashmiri Pandit it will break your heart into million pieces once again.
Baramulla should be a mandatory watch for every Indian. Baramulla is our land. It is Varmul for us and Varahamula for our ancestors. Sanskrit term meaning "boar's molar". Land of Shiva where Vishnu, in his boar incarnation, struck the mountain at this location to drain the waters of the ancient lake that once formed the Kashmir Valley. In this abode of Shiva, unspeakable sins have been committed. Just as the mystery of missing children cannot be solved without the mystery of haunted home being resolved , present crimes cannot be be solved unless those who live there now don’t confront what their forefathers have done to the aboriginals of the valley. Until that happens, Kashmir will remain cursed, gloomy, and haunted. As terrific @bhashasumbli in the climax lets out a primal cry and says ‘ No more’. Unless people there like Gulnar don’t say ‘No more’ they will keep living in haunted homes and their children will get swallowed by invisible evil.
I want to congratulate director @AdityaSJambhale and writer @monalthaakar for this brutally honest and heart breaking film. May your craft always remain pure.
