I can't help but feel like @landondonovan is splitting hairs in order to weave a narrative here. And I'm not going stand by and let other people combover this tweet without adding my piece.
Do we play in an NFL stadium on a rug? Sure.
Do we want Bob Kraft toupee more for players? Of course.
But to say we don't have history...
What do you want, for the league to relocate the club and transplant us somewhere else?
We're an MLS original club and as American as a bald eagle. We're authentically us and we won't change for anyone. What you see is what you get.

Landon Donovan on the New England Revolution via the @UnfilteredSoccr podcast:
“Let me put it this way: If somebody said tomorrow that the New England Revolution are playing three-quarters of a mile down the road, right there, outside your home, and here’s a free ticket, I’m not going.”
“I have zero interest in watching them. Zero. There’s nothing interesting about watching them. Nothing. There’s no history. They’ve never won anything. They play in a football stadium. There’s nothing exciting about watching them.”
“They don’t have any—well, they have Carles Gil, who’s a great player—but there’s nothing remotely interesting about watching them.”

Time flies. 28 years ago Joe-Max Moore and I went on loan to @CSEmelec in Ecuador. It was quite a trip. Caught up with Joe-Max today at the @NERevolution 30th year alumni event. Most competitive player I’ve ever known. 🇺🇸⚽️

I know many a ⭐️ players who “were too tired or hurt” to take a penalty in a big moment. (Won’t name names) So I will always support the player who steps up and takes one. The teammates I’ve had that have missed will always be welcomed on my team. The coaches and managers however should know who’s capable of the moment and who’s not. That’s part of that job description.

Happy Boxing Day #NERevs fans. It would make our day if someone could uncover a video of Wolde Harris doing his boxing the corner flag goal celebration.
